The Passover is a well-known Jewish holiday and time of remembrance of Israel's history of enslavement by the Egyptians. Each year at Passover, Jews worldwide celebrate God's spectacular deliverance of the nation of Israel from slavery in Egypt. But did you know that Apostle Paul tells Christians to also keep and observe the yearly Feast of Passover; and calls Jesus Christ our Passover Lamb? This often forgotten instruction given by Apostle Paul to the church has resulted in the blessing of observing the Passover to be lost to many Christians today. In this book you will clearly see how the Lord planned for this time of remembrance to not only be observed by Jews; but also to be a unique time of remembrance for Christians also seated at the Passover table. This book explains not only why Paul instructs the church to observe Passover every year; but how you as a Christian can actually conduct an orderly, biblical, step by step Passover observance in your home with family and friends or with your church. The Passover: Order of Service for Christians, completes a powerful three part series on Passover; helping Christians to recapture for themselves the blessing of Passover. You'll find this series to be useful to you year after year.

Throughout the Seder, the significance of our Lords Last Supper with His disciples is made poignantly clear. His sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection truly make this a time of rejoicing and victory! Kosher recipes are also included for those wishing to include a full Passover meal.

Learn More here: http: //doaseder.com Passover or Pesach is the first of seven appointed feasts of the L-rd, ordained by the L-rd, to commemorate the departure of the Hebrew nation from Egypt. As commanded in the Torah, "You shall observe the Feast of Unleavened Bread; for seven days you are to eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the appointed time in the month Abib, for in it you came out of Egypt. And they shall not appear before Me empty handed." Exodus 23:15 The Torah, the first five books of Moses, is the written word of G-d, and the instructions and rituals for the holidays were passed down in the oral law. Every year in the spring, Jews around the world will prepare a seder as a memorial to the original Passover event, and in the same prescribed order given at Mt. Sinai over 3,000 years ago. It is important to G-d that the teachings and history of the Jewish people be preserved and passed down to all generations. As we read through the Haggadah, you will notice the introduction of a dash in the spellings of G-d and L-rd. According to Jewish law and tradition, it was forbidden to erase or discard any written document with the names of our Creator, or even speak His Hebrew name Yod He Vav He. The word Jehovah is used by Christians to pronounce the four letters of the tetragrammaton, and the name Adonai is substituted when reading the Holy Scriptures or Torah. The true pronunciation of His Name has been lost. With great respect, we will reverence His holy name by continuing this tradition. The symbolism in the seder meal will remind us that G-d remembered His people in bondage and He had a plan for their deliverance.

Jews have been celebrating the Passover through a special meal, called a seder, for millenia. Jesus himself celebrated the Passover feast with his disciples in what we refer to as The Last Supper. In this special book, co-authored by a rabbi and a pastor, we have the unique opportunity to experience an authentic Jewish Passover seder, from a distinctively Christian perspective. There are many haggadot used in Jewish homes and synagogues, but this one offers meaningful insights on how Christians can both learn from Judaism as a means of deepening their Christian faith, and better understand the Jewishness of Jesus. Always respectful of the differences between Judaism and Christianity, this Passover guide provides: *a complete guide (plan and script) to a meaningful seder experience *a deeper knowledge of the great themes of the Exodus story, in combination with Christian insights *rich opportunities for a better understanding Lent and Holy Week *a fuller knowledge of why Jesus placed such importance on the universal themes of slavery, freedom, and community around the seder table. "Explores the rich liturgy of the Passover seder from both the Jewish and Christian traditions without compromising the distinctive beliefs of either faith tradition. Smith and Shapiro have given us a model of interfaith cooperation, based on their evident respect for one another, that contributes to greater mutual understanding. A splendid contribution to worship education!" -Timothy George, dean of Beeson Divinity School of Samford University; executive editor of Christianity Today "If Christian churches choose to observe Passover, this is the resource they should use. . . . a comprehensive but easy-to-use tool for broadening and deepening their understanding of Passover. -Jan Turentine, Managing Editor, Acacia Resources, Baptist Center for Ethics

The Passover was celebrated by Jesus and the disciples the last time they were together. Now popular speaker and writer Rabbi Evan Moffic brings an understanding to the Last Supper that will forever change how Christians celebrate Communion and prepare for Easter. Beginning with the Hebrew Bible and Jewish history, Rabbi Moffic shows how these inform the roots of Christianity as he weaves together history, theology, Jewish practice and observances. Then he provides the background and resources for Christians seeking to experience an authentic Jewish Passover Seder and integrate it into their own preparation for Easter. Rabbi Moffic brings an informed and ancient perspective, explaining and bringing to life the source of so many of our modern Christian practices. By exploring and explaining the ritual and story surrounding the Jewish Passover, Rabbi Moffic shares with Christians the wisdom and inspiration of the Hebrew Bible—what Christians call the Old Testament—in a way that increases appreciation and understanding of the culture in which Jesus lived and taught. For contemporary Christians desiring to enrich their understanding of the faith they practice today, this book offers deeper understanding of their spiritual heritage shared with Judaism.
