Join bestselling author Andy Stanley as he gives you the tools you need to find your path in life and avoid the detours, obstacles, and potholes along the way. Not where you want to be? Wondering how to get there? What if you knew the answer to those questions? What if there was one simple idea that explained why so many people stray from their destiny? Stanley believes there is, and it's called the principle of the path. And not only does it explain the disappointment and regret that characterize the lives of so many, it gives you the tools you need to be the exception. In The Principle of the Path, Stanley addresses the key questions that so many of us have asked ourselves: Why do our expectations about our future often go unmet? Why is it that smart people with admirable life goals often end up far from where they intended to be? Why do so many people start out with a clear picture of where they want to be relationally, financially, and professionally and yet years later find themselves far from their desired destination? Praise for The Principle of the Path: "As Billy Graham's son, and a preacher myself, I have seen firsthand the devastating consequences of choosing the wrong path in life. Andy Stanley writes about the importance of following the path that is set before us as stated in the Bible. May all who read these words be obedient in their daily walk with the Savior." --Franklin Graham President & CEO, Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and Samaritan's Purse "As a young man, I did a lot of stupid things. Those dumb decisions and bad behaviors led me straight into bankruptcy and heartache. But once I changed directions and started doing smart things with my life and money, I started winning. It's really that simple. If you don't want to learn this life-changing principle like I did—the hard way—then you need to read Andy Stanley’s The Principle of the Path. I just wish I had a copy of it twenty years ago!" --Dave Ramsey, host of The Dave Ramsey Show and best-selling author of Total Money Makeover

The Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment (Lam rim chen mo) is one of the brightest jewels in the world's treasury of sacred literature. The author Tsong-kha-pa (1357–1419) completed this masterpiece in 1402 and it soon became one of the most renowned works of spiritual practice and philosophy in the world of Tibetan Buddhism. Tsong-kha-pa took great pains to base his incisive insights on the classical Indian Buddhist literature, illustrating his points with classical citations as well as with sayings of the masters of the earlier Kadampa tradition. In this way, the text demonstrates clearly how Tibetan Buddhism carefully preserved and developed the Indian Buddhist traditions. Volume One covers all practices that are prerequisite for developing the spirit of enlightenment (bodhicitta). Volume Two explains how to train in the six perfections in order to develop the heart of compassion indispensable for any student who wants to put the Dharma into practice. Volume Three contains a presentation of the two most important topics to be found in the Great Treatise: meditative serenity (shamatha) and supramundane insight into the nature of reality (vipasyana).

Tired Of Apologizing For A Church I Don T Belong To written by Lillian Daniel and has been published by Hachette UK this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-09-20 with Religion categories.
When Lillian Daniel apologized to a total stranger for every bad thing that had ever been said or done in the name of Christianity, he was surprised that she was responsible for all that. "The Inquisition? Don't even raise it, I'm way ahead of you. I was mad about it before you even heard of it, that's how open-minded I am. Salem witch trials? I know! So embarrassing. Can I hang out with you anyway? You're too kind." "Religion is responsible for all the wars in history," they would say, and I'd respond, "You're so right. Don't forget imperialism, capitalism, and racism. Religion invented those problems too. You can tell that because religious people can be found at all their meetings." In this book, Daniel argues that it's time for Christians to stop apologizing and realize that how we talk about Christian community matters. With disarming candor laced with just the right amount of humor, Daniel urges open-minded Christians to explore ways to talk about their faith journeys that are reasonable, rigorous, and real. After the publication of the much talked about When Spiritual But Not Religious Is Not Enough: Seeing God In Surprising Places, Even the Church, Lillian Daniel heard from many SBNRs as well as practicing Christians. It was the Christians who scolded her for her forthright, unapologetic stand as one who believes that religious community matters. The Christians ranted that Christians, by definition, tend to be judgmental, condemning hypocrites, which is why people hate them. By saying religion matters, she was judging those who disagree, they said, proving the stereotype of Christians. Better to acknowledge all that's wrong with Christianity and its history, then apologize. In this book, Daniel shows why it matters how we talk about Christian community while urging open-minded Christians to learn better ways to talk about their faith.

Come along as we continue to travel through the Old Forest. Meet Luta, the Womalads and many others that call this forest home. This second book continues the journey south into the Old Forest. It is truly a great story too! I feel it was sent to me while I was gardening and it is a story that has become very special to me. I am truly having just as much fun as the characters are. It saddened me to bring this book to a close, so much so, I will probably write forever. I hope you can come along on this journey for it is a journey into the Old Forest and one I know you will enjoy.

Every day we make choices. These choices impact our lives, our careers, our families, our health, our successes, and our failures. Often we make choices without considering the impact or consequences that may result. We make choices every day in the workplace and in our personal lives that mold and craft our future, and we are not even aware of it. Where we are today is a direct result of the choices we have made. Where we will be tomorrow is directly related to the choices we are going to make. Each of us has been dealt a hand of cards. The cards we have been dealt may have been outside our control. However, how we respond to these cards is 100 percent within our control. The best poker players don’t win because they always have the best cards; they win because they know how to play the cards they are dealt. They know when to fold, when to stay in the game, how to read the other players at the table, and when to bluff. They win because of choices they make with the cards they were dealt. It’s Your Choice will help bring clarity and perspective to the choices you are faced with each day in the workplace and in your personal life. It will bring reason and logic to things that you may not have considered before. It’s Your Choice is designed to challenge you to think differently, more clearly, and with a larger perspective of the choices you make each day. There will be things in It’s Your Choice you don’t want to hear. There will be things shared that will challenge you to think deeper than you have in the past. What you do with what you read in It’s Your Choice is indeed your choice.

Identity Crisis written by Karie Eaton and has been published by WestBow Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-04-20 with Religion categories.
In her first book, Beneath the Surface, Karie takes and translates her lesson from counseling young girls and women to what we desiremeaningful and authentic relationships without having to create and maintain a variety of masks to wear. Now in Identity Crisis, Karie helps women recapture and reclaim their God-given identity. I think for many, our identity is broken. In an increasingly technological world, our identity gets broken more and more, or certainly, we run the risk of it doing so. We now have the ability to be a culprit and a victim of identity theft by our own hands at the same time. Standing before God on my day of judgment, I wonder what I will really be accountable for. I was not who God designed me to be. The identity given to me was not the identity I lived my life as. Instead, I twisted it, distorted it, and mangled it beyond recognition so that I adapted into an identity I thought the world expected of me. I played God. Will that be my offense? If so, I plead guilty. I imagine there is more than enough evidence to convict me. In Identity Crisis, we will discuss the self-created barriers to true relationship. If we live behind a mask, we can impress, but we cannot connect. That doesnt sound right, does it? That is not the story I want to be a part of and to have as my life. It sounds lonely. Lets take this journey together.
