In this day when Christians and churches are widely dispersed throughout the world, the ques- tion ‘Who is the church?’ could easily be dismissed as irrelevant. In this publication, Bishop David Zac Niringiye pleads that as Jesus warned, we should not be in haste to conclude that any community with religious titles or forms and who speaks the right language of ‘Lord, Lord . . . ’ is authentic church. Taking his cue from Hebrews 11 and 12 the author addresses the motif of ‘the people of God’, looking first at the ancient people of Israel, beginning with Moses, then the new Israel and the covenant in Christ, born through the Holy Spirit at Pentecost and finally the life of the new community, the church, during the apostolic era. Through this biblical journey it is made clear that as the pilgrim people of God and the new community in Christ we must be marked by faith, love and hope, looking forward to the full consummation of the kingdom of God – justice, peace and joy, fully realized when ‘the new heaven and the new earth where righteousness dwells’ (2 Peter 3:13) is inaugurated.

This enduring work of Russian spirituality has charmed countless people with its tale of a nineteenth-century peasant's quest for the secret of prayer. Readers follow this anonymous pilgrim as he treks over the Steppes in search of the answer to the one compelling question: How does one pray constantly? Through his journeys, and under the tutelage of a spiritual father, he becomes gradually more open to the promptings of God, and sees joy and plenty wherever he goes. Ultimately, he discovers the different meanings and methods of prayer as he travels to his ultimate destination, Jerusalem. The Way of a Pilgrim is a humble story ripe for renewed appreciation today. The recent changes in Russia have revealed the great religious traditions of that land, and this work, freshly translated for modern times, is among the finest examples of those centuries-old traditions.

A publication comparing the Church of the past with the wandering Church of the present and how to find our way back to the pilgrim identity. An informative book that has the potential to change the way you look at the status quo. The Pilgrim is a Saint who is on a spiritual pilgrimage, which is a journey through the experiences of sainthood, service, and spiritual parenthood. The pilgrim identity is one of degree, emphasis, and mindset. It is not something other than sainthood or something for an elite class only. In this book, we will look at seven distinguishing characteristics of the pilgrim people of God. Identity is the foundation of one's new life and behavior springs from this same source. The pilgrim walks the pathway because he or she desires to and is enabled to by the presence of the pure Spirit, who desires that all saints seek to live above the rate of common Christianity. The distinguishing marks of the pilgrim people of God are observations from the lives of pilgrims found in Holy Scripture and in Church History. This book will benefit you as you seek to be the best that you can be.

"God's grace is the most incredible and insurmountable truth ever to be revealed to the human heart."--John Bunyan In 1661 English writer and preacher John Bunyan was jailed for twelve years after refusing to give up his spiritual mission. During this time, he wrote his most enduring work and influential allegory, The Pilgrim's Progress, which has since been published in over 200 languages. This 90-day devotional highlights the eternal truths contained in The Pilgrim's Progress that transcend the allegory into your walk with Jesus. Through these insightful readings, you will be shown the practical help the Holy Spirit provides and how to discern the hindrances of the enemy so you can live a victorious and joyful Christian life. John Bunyan said, "It is always hard to see the purpose in wilderness wanderings until after they are over."
