Duku talks too much. He was only 10 years old when his family emigrated from a Ugandan refugee camp to Australia. As a refugee, life in Australia had already been proving to be difficult. But Duku had a lot of dreams, and nothing - not being a victim of bullying, nor his speech impediment and being expelled from his school - could stop him from going after everything he has ever dreamed off. Even though life in Australia was hard, Duku always had his loving family by his side. Together, they overcame the different culture shocks by learning the new language, getting used to the new foods and making a life for themselves. Their parent’s sacrifice and work ethics were the inspiration Duku and his 6 siblings needed to help ignite their dreams. Duku’s two best friends Adam and Boni were always around when there was something to laugh about or a dream to chase. But after managing to graduate high school and getting into university, Duku made a spontaneous decision to travel to the other side of the world to eat a sandwich! The video on YouTube about the sandwich was so inspiring that Duku didn’t know it would lead him to getting lost in Hong Kong, becoming an illegal migrant in Thailand and speaking at the UN Headquarters in New York just for him to achieve his dream! An inspiring figure, Duku’s story will move and amuse you as he discovers his rich dreams.

Fast track was conceived as a mundane procedural mechanism to enhance the president's credibility in negotiating complex multilateral trade agreements by streamlining the congressional approval process into an up-or-down vote in return for enhanced congressional oversight. It allows the President to negotiate international trade agreements knowing that Congress will provide a timely vote on the agreement without amendments. Given its seminal importance to the trade debate, however, fast track has acquired greater significance and controversy. This incisive text examines whether fast track is an evolutionary advancement in U.S. international economic agreements or an end-run around the constitutional treaty provision; whether it is a reflection of the shared constitutional powers of Congress and the President in the area of foreign affairs or an unconstitutional abdication of Congress’s power to regulate foreign commerce and its ability to set its own procedural rules; whether fast track is needed to put the United States on even footing with other nations that have efficient international agreement approval mechanisms or a unique U.S. ratification short-cut not found elsewhere; whether there is a better way for the United States to approve and implement trade agreements; whether the arguments of the left and right on fast track need a new focus; and whether there is a role for the states to play in U.S. trade policy formation. Fast Track argues that the time has come for the United States to end its perennial debate over the process by which we approve international trade agreements – i.e., whether to resort to fast track or not – and begin a debate on how best to prepare American citizens to compete in a globalized world. There are signs that the United States is not ready and may even be falling behind. Without question, this book can help formalize a requisite national strategy. Published under the Transnational Publishers imprint.

ÔGlobalization, it seems, has propelled the worldÕs uber-wealthy to new heights of power and money, with tremendous repercussions for the other 99.9 percent of us. At a time when neoliberalism has propelled the world into a new Gilded Age, with rising inequality everywhere, an aggressive class war being waged by the wealthy, and billionaires inserting themselves bluntly into the political arena, understanding the behavior and spatiality of the super-rich has acquired a pressing urgency. This volume offers a richly textured suite of essays concerning how the super-rich have restructured local places, transforming landscapes as varied as London and Kentucky, Ireland and St. Barts, as well as domains as varied as art, thoroughbred horses, and housing.Õ Ð Barney Warf, University of Kansas, US ÔThe worldÕs super-rich, made up of just 11 million people, have access to about US$42.0 trillion of wealth. These are people who each have a spare million of ÒliquidÓ wealth. Their wealth is roughly equal to two thirds of global GDP. They own most of everything. As the editor of this books states Ò. . . library shelves and the pages of journals remain largely devoid of geographical work on the super-rich Ð a startling lacuna this volume sets out to fillÓ. The super-rich now own most of the planet. During the last year their share fell slightly. Times may be changing. Now is the time to begin to study the superÐrich in detail, especially if you are worried about where all the wealth has gone.Õ Ð Danny Dorling, University of Sheffield, UK This timely and path-breaking book brings together a group of distinguished and emerging international scholars to critically consider the geographical implications of the worldÕs super-rich, a privileged yet remarkably overlooked group. Emerging from this unique collection is an enlightening picture of the influence of the super-rich over a diverse range of affairs, extending from the shape of urban and rural landscapes to the future of art history. By concentrating on those at the apex of the economic pyramid, this book provides valuable insights to the institutions, practices and cultural values of our society, as well as allowing us a more comprehensive view of the consequences of global capitalism. Presenting case studies from across the globe Ð from Singapore to St Barts, London to Lexington Ð the spatial and cultural span of the book is wide-ranging and diverse. This truly unique book will prove a fascinating read for academics, researchers and students in the fields of geography, regional and urban studies, sociology, political science and development studies.

Always feel like you don't have enough money? Too much month left at the end of the money? Always struggled to feel like you are getting ahead? Think everyone around you is doing better than you? Don't have the time to study endless self-help books or listen to hours of audio recordings? Looking for a path to wealth that you can implement in just a few minutes a day? Just a few years ago, I answered yes to all the above and just couldn't seem to get ahead, despite earning good money at times! I read every book going, listened to hour and hours of audio books, studied many 'gurus' and even attended the odd seminar. But nothing seemed to work - I was endlessly poor. Then came a breakthrough, I realised that by focusing on a few 'core' points daily, for just a few minutes a day kept me in the 'flow' and transformed my outlook almost instantly. Within just a few months on my new path, my fortunes turned, and the flow of 'wealth' reversed. By referring back to the 'diluted' methods, this continued, and continues to this day. Not only that, but I found my goals also changed to ones of not just money, but 'wealth' in general. If you have ever wanted to be truly wealthy, but don't think you have to time, then this method is for you. You can learn in just a few minutes a day - whatever position you find yourself in now - fast track yourself to riches and wealth with the unique combination of concise study and daily repetition taught in this book.
