The Golden Age of Man took place thousands of years ago. After thousands of years of wars, famine, plagues, disease, and man's inhumanity to both man and other life forms on the planet, is Humanity finally ready for the next evolutionary step? Wes Brown believes it is possible. After a lifetime of research Mr. Brown has gathered together the keys to our past that he believes will unlock the next evolutionary steps for mankind. His research covers the clues left throughout history in mythology, religions and philosophy. He explains why we are where we are today. Then he examines some of the many ways we can recover our Humanity and evolve as destiny intended. The new revolution will not be a war to conquer other nations or people, but rather a war on the way we think. In what appears to many as Humanity's darkest hours, is this really possible? Read The (R)evolution of Humanity and find out how.

Arising from a conference Rethinking the Human Revolution reconsiders all of the central issues in modern human behavioural, cognitive, biological and demographic origins in the light of new information and new theoretical perspectives which have emerged over the past twenty years of intensive research in this field. The 34 papers cover topics ranging from the DNA and skeletal evidence for modern human origins in Africa, through the archaeological evidence for the emergence of distinctively 'modern' patterns of human behaviour and cognition, to the various lines of evidence for the geographical dispersal patterns of biologically and behaviourally modern populations from their African origins throughout Asia, Australasia and Europe, over the past 60,000 years.

Evolution Revolution written by Ervin Laszlo and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019-07-18 with Social Science categories.

Originally published in 1971 Evolution – Revolution is an interdisciplinary volume examining inquiry around the central topic of evolution and revolution. Containing contributions from a number of eminent academics of the time, the book addresses the meaning and application of evolution and revolution in the context, not of what things are, or even how they behave, but how they become. The broad interdisciplinary range of essays explores this concept through the idea of development and change and argues that both change, and development must be measured against concepts of flux and that which endures. The editors of the book suggest that these are the ‘invariants’ which contemporary thinkers are beginning to accept as the process-counterparts of Platonic ‘immutables’. Thus this volume examines the two ‘immutables’ of evolution and revolution. The book covers the concept through essays in science, philosophic concepts of rationalism and existentialism, art and religion.

'Compelling. What does it mean to be a man? Finally, we're talking about it. This book is the conversation we need to have-with each other, our sons and fathers.' Peter FitzSimons, bestselling author of Kokoda 'A terrific read-gutsy, plain-speaking and personal, addressing almost every aspect of Australian men's lives today . . . This book will greatly help the growing avalanche of masculine change.' Steve Biddulph, psychologist and bestselling author of Manhood The performance of being a man, from the moment we open our eyes, until we gasp our last breath, is damaging us, and those around us. Phil Barker has written thousands of words about being a man in these strange and terrible times. As a journalist, he has spent years investigating the modern epidemics of suicide, domestic violence, pornography and misogyny, but also the essential bonds of male friendship, fatherhood and men's relationships with women. During this time, Phil found himself seeing what it is to 'be a man' in a completely new light. Men are forced into a performance of masculinity that is suffocating, limiting and damaging. The Revolution of Man shows us how to rethink what it means to be a man and urges men to reconnect with their emotions so they, and the people they love, can start leading happier, healthier and more meaningful lives. 'Phil Barker skewers toxic masculinity and provides a manifesto for modern manhood. This well-researched, engaging and thought-provoking book explains why positive masculinity is good for men, women and children. We need more male allies like Phil to create a safer future for the post #MeToo generation.' Tracey Spicer, journalist and bestselling author of The Good Girl Stripped Bare

"Our Unfinished Biological Revolution is a treatise aimed at a broad educated public that discusses the evolution of human intelligence: the the evolution of intelligence from the origin of life to our times. With the help of evolutionary theory, the book explains the nature of human intelligence as we know it today. Most importantly, it demonstrates that evolution led to the rise of what intelligence researchers call the general intelligence factor, a general ability that enables humans to plan ahead and solve problems that natural selection did not prepare them for; and (2) that humans vary in general intelligence (as with all traits shaped by Darwinian evolution) and hence in their propensity to think abstractly and anticipate long-term consequences of their actions. The book explores the social implications of these two facts in modern technological societies, in which intelligence plays an increasingly important role. Finally, Our Unfinished Biological Revolution notes that Homo sapiens sapiens' intelligence may be our best hope to solve the daunting problems of the present era-including population growth, the exhaustion of natural resources, and the rise of simplistic and devastating ideologies"--

Guided Evolution Of Society written by Bela H. Banathy and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-03-09 with Social Science categories.

Based on a comprehensive review of human and societal evolution the book develops an approach to conscious, self-guided evolution. In the course of the evolutionary journey of our species, there have been three seminal events. The first happened some seven million yeas ago, when our humanoid ancestors entered on the evolutionary scene. Their journey toward the second crucial event lasted over six million years when - as the greatest event of our evolutionary history - homo sapiens sapiens, started the revolutionary process of cultural evolution. Today, we have arrived at the threshold of the third major event, `the revolution of conscious evolution,' when it becomes our responsibility to enter into the evolutionary design space and guide the evolutionary journey of our species. The book tells the story of the first six million years of the journey in just enough detail to understand how evolution had worked in times when it was primarily biological, driven by natural selection. With the human revolution some fifty thousand years ago, with the emergence of self-reflective consciousness, the evolutionary process transformed from biological into cultural. From this point on, the book follows the journey with detailed attention, in order to learn how cultural evolution works. The book is organized in three parts. Part One commences with an exposition of a brief history of the evolutionary idea through time with a focus on a review of the science of general evolution and specifically social and societal evolution. Next, the book unfolds the `evolutionary story' of our species from the time when the first humanoids entered the evolutionary scene to our current era. Part Two develops a systems view of evolution, explores the ways and means of how evolution works, characterizes evolutionary consciousness and develops the idea of conscious evolution. Part Three builds upon the knowledge developed in the first two parts and sets forth the key conditions of conscious, self-guided evolution, elaborating the core condition, which is the acquisition of evolutionary competence through evolutionary learning. The focus of this part is on an approach to the design of evolutionary guidance systems that our families, neighborhoods, communities, organizations, social and societal systems can use to design the future they aspire to attain. The work is set aside from other statements in three important ways. It provides: (1) a comprehensive review of how evolution has worked with a focus on socio-cultural evolution, (2) an explanation of evolutionary consciousness and the conditions of engaging in conscious evolution, and (3) most significantly, it develops a detailed approach and a methodology to the design of evolutionary guidance systems.

In Conscious (R)Evolution, Humanity, Insanity, and the Planet, the author brings together two powerful insights: that all life on this planet is interconnected, and that humanity’s current path of consumerism and industrialization is leading to catastrophe. From deforestation to pollution, we are damaging the very environment that sustains us. This book asks us to stop and consider the bigger picture: as an intelligent species, why would we willingly destroy the planet that gave us life? With urgency and clarity, the author calls for a new way of living, one that recognizes our place in the natural world and uses our intelligence to create a better future for all.
