Thomas (my 5th Great Grandfather) and Sam Houston's Grandfather (John Paxton) were brothers. The series was developed to assist a friend in publishing a historical periodical and she urged me to compile it into this book about the life of the only man who ever was a U.S. Congressman, Snator and Governor of 2 States, and President of a Republic.
