Each person has a unique conditioning and belief structure that create his perspective in which he views reality. The world than interfaces witheach person to create a reality that conforms to his beliefs. A person's conditioning and beliefs affect his attitudes and emotions, which then magnetize certain energies that resonate to his state of being. This exciting book is an in depth study of abnormal perception and behavior. It examines how, without our knowledge, our brain secretly pushes, pulls, twists, and warps our perceptions with a mind of its own, without regard for morals, stubbornly persistent in wrongdoing, devoid of good sense or judgment, resistant to guidance or discipline, blindly and obstinately attached to some creed or opinion and intolerant toward others. This book explains how the nature of reality is distorted by our senses, turning our perceptions into an amalgam of illusions, delusions and deceptions, from which we determine our behavior. This is an excellent book written by an intellect well versed in his subject. The most abstruse complexities have been made comprehensible to the general reader; opening scenes that startle you with their depths of impenetrable mystery, and taking you on a fantastic journey through infinity. The author's skill and perfect pacing, as he presents scientific facts in the realm of psychological perception, stand alone in this extraordinary volume of knowledge.

Perception + Beliefs = Reality Life is difficult... That is how a lot of people perceive their own life and it is true for them, because that is what they believe and their sub-conscious mind would 100% support them the idea that " life is hard ." But is life really that hard or we are just making it up in our own mind? What we perceive is what we believe, and all this is based on what we hear, see, feel, and think. Our perception drives our behaviors everyday and our thoughts are perhaps the most crucial components of our ability to perceive. In this book, we will discuss in detail on the power of our perception and explore how the way our mind works affects our perception. We will take a closer look at how each of us perceive the sight and sound he/she receives in a way which is very different from each others. We will also discuss the importance of perception in our understanding of what reality really is, and show you some "real life scenarios" which will consolidate your understanding of our perception. Here is what you are about to find out.. ** Perceived truths are NOT based on Real Truth. ** The Power to Choose a Response ** How your Habitat forms Your Habits ** How to Change Your Core Beliefs "The Perception Transformation" has been composed to help you achieve a better understanding of your world and how you perceive things around you. Only through a proper understanding of perception can you learn and see the light, even in your darkest of times. By altering what you perceive as negative experiences, you can alleviate your negative emotions and your self-imposed restriction on leading a happy and healthy life.

Making Sense Of Reality written by Tia DeNora and has been published by SAGE this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-09-22 with Social Science categories.

What is reality and how do we make sense of it in everyday life? Why do some realities seem more real than others, and what of seemingly contradictory and multiple realities? This book considers reality as we represent, perceive and experience it. It suggests that the realities we take as ‘real’ are the result of real-time, situated practices that draw on and draw together many things - technologies and objects, people, gestures, meanings and media. Examining these practices illuminates reality (or rather our sense of it) as always ‘virtually real’, that is simplified and artfully produced. This examination also shows us how the sense of reality that we make is nonetheless real in its consequences. Making Sense of Reality offers students and educators a guide to analysing social life. It develops a performance-based perspective (‘doing things with’) that highlights the ever-revised dimension of realities and links this perspective to a focus on object-relations and an ecological model of culture-in-action.

The Reality Of Illusion written by Joseph Anderson and has been published by SIU Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1996 with Performing Arts categories.

Applying research findings from studies in visual perception, neurophysiology, cognitive psychology, developmental psychology, and anthropology, Joseph D. Anderson defines the complex interaction of motion pictures with the human mind and organizes the relationship between film and cognitive science. Anderson's primary argument is that motion picture viewers mentally process the projected images and sounds of a movie according to the same perceptual rules used in response to visual and aural stimuli in the world outside the theater. To process everyday events in the world, the human mind is equipped with capacities developed through millions of years of evolution. In this context, Anderson builds a metatheory influenced by the writings of J. J. and Eleanor Gibson and employs it to explore motion picture comprehension as a subset of general human comprehension and perception, focusing his ecological approach to film on the analysis of cinema's true substance: illusion. Anderson investigates how viewers, with their mental capacities designed for survival, respond to particular aspects of filmic structure--continuity, diegesis, character development, and narrative--and examines the ways in which rules of visual and aural processing are recognized and exploited by filmmakers. He uses Orson Welles's Citizen Kane to disassemble and redefine the contemporary concept of character identification; he addresses continuity in a shot-by-shot analysis of images from Casablanca; and he uses a wide range of research studies, such as Harry F. Harlow's work with infant rhesus monkeys, to describe how motion pictures become a substitute or surrogate reality for an audience. By examining the human capacity for play and the inherent potential for illusion, Anderson considers the reasons viewers find movies so enthralling, so emotionally powerful, and so remarkably real.
