When you hear terms such as tribulation, Antichrist, rapture, and the Second Coming, do you wonder what the sequence of events will be? Do you worry about what you and your loved ones will experience? Jesus is coming again. Wouldn’t it be great if we could read all about HIs return in one convenient book of the Bible? Instead, with what seems to be a divine sense of humor, God chose to reveal Jesus’s Second Coming throughout the entirety of His Word. The Return presents the result of three decades of study throughout the Bible, examining layers of information and simultaneous events as scripture comments upon scripture regarding the end-times and Christ’s return. Authors Dale and Cathy Hancock invite you to take the same journey they did, discovering the true story in God’s Word regarding HIs glorious return and the last days of this present age. In these difficult days, studying the promised blessed hope of His return can empower us to rest peacefully and victoriously in His sovereignty. Inviting you to join a journey through the Bible as a whole, this study and workbook explores what God’s Word says regarding end-times and prepares you for what’s to come in the last days.

An unconventional perspective on contemporary economic inequality in America and its dangers for democracy, using comparisons with Russia, China and Germany. Since the economic liberalization wave that began in the late 1970s, inequality around the world has skyrocketed. In The Returns to Power, Thomas F. Remington examines the rise of extreme economic inequality in the United States since the late 1970s by drawing comparisons to the effects of market reforms in transition countries such as Russia, China, and Germany. Employing an unconventional comparative framework, he brings together the latest scholarship in economics and political science and draws on Russian, Chinese, and German-language sources. As he shows, the US embraced deregulation and market-based solutions around the same time that China and Russia implemented major privatization and liberalization reforms. The long-term result was increasing inequality in all three nations. To illustrate why, Remington contrasts the effects of these policies with the postwar economic recovery program in Germany, which succeeded in protecting market competition within the framework of a social market economy that provides widely shared prosperity, high growth, and robust democracy. The book concludes with an analysis of the political dangers posed by high inequality and calls for a new public philosophy of liberal capitalism and liberal democracy that would restore political equality and inclusive growth by strengthening political and market competition, expanding the provision of public goods, and broadening social insurance protection. An ambitious account of why political and economic inequality has increased so much in recent times, The Returns to Power's emphasis on policy variation across democracies also reminds us that it did not have to turn out this way.

The Return Of Astraea written by Frederick A. de Armas and has been published by University Press of Kentucky this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-03-17 with Literary Criticism categories.
In classical mythology Astraea, the goddess of justice, chastity, and truth, was the last of the immortals to leave Earth with the decline of the ages. Her return was to signal the dawn of a new Golden Age. This myth not only survived the Christian Middle Ages but also became a commonplace in the Renaissance when courtly poets praised their patrons and princes by claiming that Astraea guided them. The literary cult of Astraea persisted in the sixteenth century as writers saw in Elizabeth I of England the imperial Astraea who would lead mankind to peace through universal rule. This and other late flowerings of the Astraea myth should not be taken as the final phases of her history. Frederick A. de Armas documents in this book what may well be the last great rebirth of Astraea, one that is probably of greater political, religious, and literary significance than others previously described by historians and literary critics. The Return of Astraea focuses on the seventeenth-century Spanish playwright Pedro Calderón de la Barca, and analyzes the deity's presence in thirteen of his plays, including his masterpiece, La Vida es Sueho. Her popularity in this period is partially attributed to political motives, reflecting the aspirations and fears of the Spanish monarch Philip IV. In this broad study, grounded on such diverse fields as astrology, iconography, history, mythology, and philosophy, de Armas explains that Astraea adopts many guises in Calderón's dramas. Ranging from the Kabbalah to Platonic thought and from satires on Olivares to cosmogonic myths, he analyzes and reinterprets Calderón's theater from a wide range of perspectives centered on the playwright's utilization of the myth of Astraea. The book thus represents a new view of Calderón's dramaturgy and also documents the popularity and significance of this astral-imperial myth during the Spanish Golden Age.

The Return of Tarzan picks up soon after the point at which Tarzan of the Apes concludes. The ape man, feeling rootless in the wake of his noble sacrifice of his prospects of wedding Jane Porter, leaves America for Europe to visit his friend Paul d'Arnot. On the ship he becomes embroiled in the affairs of Countess Olga de Coude, her husband, Count Raoul de Coude, and two shady characters attempting to prey on them, Nikolas Rokoff and his henchman Alexis Paulvitch. Rokoff, it turns out, is also the countess's brother. Tarzan thwarts the villains' scheme, making them his deadly enemies. Later, in France, Rokoff tries time and again to eliminate the ape man, finally engineering a duel between him and the count by making it appear that he is the countess's lover. Tarzan deliberately refuses to defend himself in the duel, even offering the count his own weapon after the latter fails to kill him with his own, a grand gesture that convinces his antagonist of his innocence. In return, Count Raoul finds him a job as a special agent in the French Ministry of War. Tarzan is assigned to service in Algeria.

A guide for the next 300 years, Heracles lifts the veil on a large part of the secret of the Templars and the origins of monotheism, while explaining the complex workings of the individual and collective soul in simple terms. Mysticism, the role of the shaman in society, the Buddhist roots of Christianity, Freemasonry, and Islam are just some of the comparisons used to shed light on the decline of modern Western civilization. Part alchemical guide, part political manifesto, the author proposes practical and revolutionary solutions in a post-COVID world, and calls for the creation of a new elite of consciousness, guardians of a return to tradition and craftsmanship, in a gripping narrative that is sure to challenge established reality by offering readers the possibility of resurrecting God - through the Feathered Snake - in the author's trademark biting and ironic style. In the first part, we find the conclusion of The Apocalypse of Logan, with the Logan's journey into his past and the secret of the Templars in a spiritual road trip from Paris to Scotland, in a chrome-blue campervan. This book marks the final installment of the Mysterium Australis trilogy, and unfolds as a powerful mandala for understanding the modern world. And perhaps this is the return of Henry IV, the Gaulish Hercules...

The war may be over, but the fight for Osteria’s future has just begun. With the immortality of the gods resting in the hands of the titans, all of Osteria is at risk of annihilation. As their powers fail and their allies fall, the gods must put their trust in the unlikeliest of heroes in the unlikeliest of places. As the weakened gods limp their way toward a final battle against the titans, one man simply wants to return home from the war in Demos. But getting home may just be the toughest challenge Odysseus has ever endured. Man has often wondered about the birth of his world. Our remote ancestors told strange tales of parental deities who gave birth to planets, and people. Primitive religious thought regarded inanimate Nature as teeming with terrifying psychic life. It is a trend which persists in the dark recesses of the modern mind. There is reason for this persistence . . . Were the ancients entirely wrong? Science has unlocked many mysteries that terrified our forebears, but there are others which remain just as enigmatically sealed as before. What strange astrological influences do the dark stars exert as they speed through the heavens on their evil courses? Like a cosmic combination lock their tuning unleashes timeless forces of evil. The Pantheon of Old Gods rides again to bring hideous terror to the 20th century.
