'The Rogue Bear' short story is based on a true story. The story reflects the experience Anastasia had when a bear tries to enter Anastasia's Cherryfield, Maine's ranch. Other short stories in this collection include 'Just Like Grandma' who tried to protect her grandchildren from an abusive alcoholic father. 'Small Blurb' is about a woman who fell on the tracks of the IRT in NYC. 'The Writer' who follows immediate predictions of a painting above his desk. 'You're Supposed To Be Scared' is a great Halloween story of a haunted house you would not want to visit EVER! ***** 5-Stars: Anastasia Marie Cassella is known for her short stories. Like a lot of people in Maine and other rural areas, stories are created, told, and passed down through the generations. Story telling is an art and an endangered species. I hope Anastasia writes more short stories in the future. Review by the Editor at Book Marketing Global Network.

Anastasia Cassella-Young's 'The Rogue Bear' and 'Small Blurb' are based on true stories. A 'rogue' bear is when it attacks or attempts to get into a home. 'Small Blurb' is based on a true story about a 'small blurb' a dead woman received in a NY newspaper after dying on the IRT subway line. 'The Writer' is a fictional accounting of the runaway imagination of a writer following the prediction of the immediate future in a painting above his desk. Murder and mayhem ensue. 'Just Like Grandma' is about a grandmother protecting her grandchildren from an awful alcoholic father who is abusive to the point that 'Grandma' protects the children with a gun and her story of the aftermath of that decision. 'You're Supposed to be Scared' is a great Halloween story about a haunted house and the tour through that haunted house and what happens there. This is a very good read from the wild imagination of a bi-polar surviving writer!

Organized Crime written by Klaus von Lampe and has been published by SAGE Publications this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-07-16 with Social Science categories.

Organized Crime: Analyzing Illegal Activities, Criminal Structures, and Extra-legal Governance provides a systematic overview of the processes and structures commonly labeled “organized crime,” drawing on the pertinent empirical and theoretical literature primarily from North America, Europe, and Australia. The main emphasis is placed on a comprehensive classificatory scheme that highlights underlying patterns and dynamics, rather than particular historical manifestations of organized crime. Esteemed author Klaus von Lampe strategically breaks the book down into three key dimensions: (1) illegal activities, (2) patterns of interpersonal relations that are directly or indirectly supporting these illegal activities, and (3) overarching illegal power structures that regulate and control these illegal activities and also extend their influence into the legal spheres of society. Within this framework, numerous case studies and topical issues from a variety of countries illustrate meaningful application of the conceptual and theoretical discussion.

Where Am I Now written by Mara Wilson and has been published by Penguin this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2016-09-13 with Biography & Autobiography categories.

"Thoughtfully traces [Mara Wilson's] journey from child actress to Hollywood dropout...Who is she now? She's a writer." —NPR's "Guide To 2016’s Great Reads" “Growing up, I wanted to be Mara Wilson. Where Am I Now? is a delight.” —Ilana Glazer, cocreator and star of Broad City Named a best book of the month by GoodReads and Entertainment Weekly A former child actor best known for her starring roles in Matilda and Mrs. Doubtfire, Mara Wilson has always felt a little young and out of place: as the only kid on a film set full of adults, the first daughter in a house full of boys, a Valley girl in New York and a neurotic in California, and a grown-up the world still remembers as a little girl. Tackling everything from what she learned about sex on the set of Melrose Place, to discovering in adolescence that she was no longer “cute” enough for Hollywood, these essays chart her journey from accidental fame to relative (but happy) obscurity. They also illuminate universal struggles, like navigating love and loss, and figuring out who you are and where you belong. Candid, insightful, moving, and hilarious, Where Am I Now? introduces Mara Wilson as a brilliant new chronicler of the experience that is growing up female.

White Identity written by Jared Taylor and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011 with Race awareness categories.

"Ten years in the making, this book is the sequel to Jared Taylor's seminal Paved With Good Intentions. In White Identity, Taylor systematically marshals the data to show that: People of all races pay lip service to the ideal of integration but generally prefer to remain apart. ; Study after scientific study suggests that racial identity is an inherent part of human nature. ; Diversity of race, language, religion, etc. is not a strength for America but a source of chronic tension and conflict. ; Non-whites--especially blacks and Hispanics but now even Asians--openly take pride in their race and put group interests ahead of those of the country as a whole. ; Only whites continue to believe that it is possible or even desirable to transcend race and try to make the United States a nation in which race does not matter. Taylor argues that America must reassess dated assumptions, and that we need policies based on a realistic understanding of race, not on fantasies. Most provocatively, Taylor argues that whites must exercise the same rights as other groups--that they must be unafraid of considering their own legitimate interests. He concludes by warning whites that if they do not defend their interests they will be marginalized by groups that do not hesitate to assert themselves, numerically and culturally. The culmination of 25 years of writing about race, immigration, and America's future, this is Jared Taylor's best and most complete statement of why it is vitally important for whites to defend their legitimate group interests."--Amazon.com.

The buzz surrounding social media focuses on how business can build relationships by participating in the online conversation. When it works, social media relationship building is often labor and time intensive with a return on investment that is often hard to measure. Not many people understand that social media campaigns can be orchestrated to build relationships and drive in new business at a much greater rate than using the relationship aspect of social media alone provides. When I discovered this, relationship building became the least compelling part of the picture. Searchial is a phrase I created to describe the method of interacting within the strange new world of social media while elevating your profile in internet searches for the products and services you offer. This book teaches do-it-yourself methods of implementing a searchial media campaign. It demonstrates the added value of practicing searchial media instead of just social media. Social tools have the power to drive new business into your organization not only through communicating and relationship building, but by coincidentally causing your listing in search engines to rank higher in searches for keywords and key phrases people are using to find the products and services you offer in a specific geographical area or worldwide. The term Searchial reflects the realization that my time and effort were best spent driving new patients into my medical practice using social tools to improve our position in Google, Bing and other search engines, not just building and strengthening existing relationships. This book can be applied to and used as a guide within any industry at any stage of the new media marketing game. Appendices contain information specific to social media and search elevation in the medical profession, specifically small medical business, hospital and clinic and pharmaceutical companies.

Hollywood Highbrow written by Shyon Baumann and has been published by Princeton University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-06-05 with Performing Arts categories.

Today's moviegoers and critics generally consider some Hollywood products--even some blockbusters--to be legitimate works of art. But during the first half century of motion pictures very few Americans would have thought to call an American movie "art." Up through the 1950s, American movies were regarded as a form of popular, even lower-class, entertainment. By the 1960s and 1970s, however, viewers were regularly judging Hollywood films by artistic criteria previously applied only to high art forms. In Hollywood Highbrow, Shyon Baumann for the first time tells how social and cultural forces radically changed the public's perceptions of American movies just as those forces were radically changing the movies themselves. The development in the United States of an appreciation of film as an art was, Baumann shows, the product of large changes in Hollywood and American society as a whole. With the postwar rise of television, American movie audiences shrank dramatically and Hollywood responded by appealing to richer and more educated viewers. Around the same time, European ideas about the director as artist, an easing of censorship, and the development of art-house cinemas, film festivals, and the academic field of film studies encouraged the idea that some American movies--and not just European ones--deserved to be considered art.
