The iron origin draws attention Deni Junaedi to be materialized to paintings. Iron did not come from the earth, but the heaven. Deni expressed the phenomenon via watercolors. Iron was sent down to the earth from supernova. The explosion of a giant star spread its iron to the universe and gave the packet of gift to the earth. Therefore, he named his concept: “The Sent Down Iron”. The artist frequently chose gears as the representation of iron. On certain occasion, he brought international issues for these artworks. However, he remained using forms made from iron to base his ideas. Deni employed melting effect of watercolors for the depiction. The artist also applied some other painting techniques, such as wet on wet and watercolor splash. There are not so many artists who stick with working on watercolor arts especially in Yogyakarta. Utilizing watercolor material generally is only as extra media or mixed media in artworks. Thus it is consented that it is a lonely path having been chosen by a Jogja artist whose name is Deni Junaedi, or well-known as Deni Je. He is an energetic figure born in Sukerojo Kendal June 21st, 1973, that I recognize as a though man. With bachelor’s degree, 1997 – 2004, at Indonesian Art Institute of Yogyakarta (ISI), Fine Arts Faculty, Pure Arts Department, Specialization in Art Painting; and Post Graduate Degree, 2010 – 2012, at Performing & Fine Arts Study, Post Graduate Program, UGM, Yogyakarta, he is able brought forward his career as a Lecturer at ISI Yogyakarta. Moreover, Bung Deni is also now active in his creative room as a content creator in PAINTING EXPLORER Channel. Having been active at artworks and exhibition since 1991 till now, he is certainly undoubted of his interest in arts. Watercolor as artwork media by Deni is the right choice and to be his expertise.

Melukis langsung on the spot menagih saya untuk mengulangi dan terus mengulangi. En plein air, istilah pakem akademis untuk on the spot, pun telah saya jalani sebelum kuliah. Bahkan ketika mudik saya tidak lupa membawa seperangkat alat on the spot.

"Dislodging the avant-garde from its central position in the narrative of Soviet art, Collective Body presents painter Aleksandr Deineka's haptic and corporeal version of Socialist Realist figuration not as the enemy of revolutionary art, but as an alternate experimental aesthetic that, at its best, activates and organizes affective forces for collective ends. Tracing Deineka's path from his avant-garde origins as the inventor of the proletarian body in illustrations for mass magazines after the Revolution through his success as a state-sponsored painter of monumental, lyrical canvases during the Great Terror and beyond, Collective Body demonstrates that Socialist Realism is best understood not as a totalitarian style, but rather as a fiercely collective art system that organized art outside the market and formed part of the legacy of the revolutionary modernisms of the 1920s. Collective Body accounts for the way the art of the October Revolution continues to capture viewers' imaginations through the sheer intensity of its evocation of the elation of collectivity, making viewers not only comprehend but also truly feel socialism, and retaining the potential to inform our own art-into-life experiments within contemporary political art. Deineka figures in this study not as a singular master, in the spirit of a traditional monograph, but as a limited case of the system he inhabited and helped to create"--

Every endeavour to review and write the history of contemporary art in Turkey calls upon the name of a pioneering, founding artist who marks a turning point, a moment of beginning: Altan Gürman (1935-1976). Altan Gürman’s oeuvre is brought to viewers for the first time in such an exhaustive capacity through one of the inaugural exhibitions at Arter’s new building in Dolapdere. The catalogue accompanying the exhibition, curated by Başak Doğa Temür, not only features almost all of Altan Gürman’s works included in the Arter Collection, but also presents to readers various documents, drawings, sketches, correspondences, photographs, class notes, slides, and meticulous arrangements from the artist’s archives, as well as his theses permeated with a new concept of art that would leave its imprint on the 1960s and 1970s. The book includes essays by Barış Acar, Selen Ansen, Ahu Antmen, Duygu Demir, Bora Gürdaş, Ali Kayaalp, İz Öztat and Nermin Saybaşılı which carefully reread Altan Gürman from an art historical perspective, address the artist’s impact and various stages of evolution, and open Gürman’s works to new encounters by approaching each one individually. Both the exhibition and the accompanying book pay a collective homage to a mind-opening artist who passed away at a young age.

Marsden Hartley S Maine written by Donna M. Cassidy and has been published by Metropolitan Museum of Art this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-03-13 with Art categories.

Marsden Hartley had a lifelong personal and aesthetic engagement with Maine, where he was born in 1877 and where he died at age sixty-six. As an important member of the artistic circle promoted by Alfred Stieglitz, Hartley began his career by painting the mountains of western Maine. He subsequently led a peripatetic life, traveling throughout Europe and North America and only occasionally visiting his native state. By midlife, however, his itinerant existence had taken an emotional toll, and he confided to Stieglitz that he wanted “so earnestly a ‘place’ to be.” Finally returning to the state in his later years, he transformed his identity from urbane sophisticate to “the painter from Maine.” But while Maine has played a clear and defining role in Hartley’s art, not until now has this relationship been studied with the breadth and richness it warrants. p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 14.0px Verdana} Marsden Hartley’s Maine is the first in-depth discussion of Hartley’s complex and shifting relationship to his native state. Illustrated with works from throughout the painter’s career, it provides a nuanced understanding of Hartley’s artistic range, from the exhilarating Post-Impressionist landscapes of his early years to the late, roughly rendered paintings of Maine and its people. The absorbing essays examine Hartley’s view of Maine as a place of light and darkness whose spirit imbued his art, which encompassed buoyant coastal views, mournful mountain vistas, and portraits of Mainers. An illustrated chronology provides an overview of Hartley’s life, juxtaposing major personal incidents with concurrent events in Maine’s history. For Hartley, who was strongly influenced by such artists as Paul Cézanne, Winslow Homer, and Albert Pinkham Ryder, Maine was an enduring source of inspiration, one powerfully intertwined with his past, his cultural milieu, and his desire to create a regional expression of American modernism.

Building Art written by Paul Goldberger and has been published by Vintage this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-09-15 with Biography & Autobiography categories.

From Pulitzer Prize–winning architectural critic Paul Goldberger: an engaging, nuanced exploration of the life and work of Frank Gehry, undoubtedly the most famous architect of our time. This first full-fledged critical biography presents and evaluates the work of a man who has almost single-handedly transformed contemporary architecture in his innovative use of materials, design, and form, and who is among the very few architects in history to be both respected by critics as a creative, cutting-edge force and embraced by the general public as a popular figure. Building Art shows the full range of Gehry’s work, from early houses constructed of plywood and chain-link fencing to lamps made in the shape of fish to the triumphant success of such late projects as the spectacular art museum of glass in Paris. It tells the story behind Gehry’s own house, which upset his neighbors and excited the world with its mix of the traditional and the extraordinary, and recounts how Gehry came to design the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, Spain, his remarkable structure of swirling titanium that changed a declining city into a destination spot. Building Art also explains Gehry’s sixteen-year quest to complete Walt Disney Concert Hall, the beautiful, acoustically brilliant home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic. Although Gehry’s architecture has been written about widely, the story of his life has never been told in full detail. Here we come to know his Jewish immigrant family, his working-class Toronto childhood, his hours spent playing with blocks on his grandmother’s kitchen floor, his move to Los Angeles when he was still a teenager, and how he came, unexpectedly, to end up in architecture school. Most important, Building Art presents and evaluates Gehry’s lifetime of work in conjunction with his entire life story, including his time in the army and at Harvard, his long relationship with his psychiatrist and the impact it had on his work, and his two marriages and four children. It analyzes his carefully crafted persona, in which a casual, amiable “aw, shucks” surface masks a driving and intense ambition. And it explores his relationship to Los Angeles and how its position as home to outsider artists gave him the freedom in his formative years to make the innovations that characterize his genius. Finally, it discusses his interest in using technology not just to change the way a building looks but to change the way the whole profession of architecture is practiced. At once a sweeping view of a great architect and an intimate look at creative genius, Building Art is in many ways the saga of the architectural milieu of the twenty-first century. But most of all it is the compelling story of the man who first comes to mind when we think of the lasting possibilities of buildings as art.
