Providing a current overview of how physical, chemical and biochemical aspects of the oral environment influence tooth condition, this publication covers caries, calculus, tooth wear and erosion, and the roles of pellicle, saliva and plaque in inducing and/or moderating these conditions. It highlights topics such as new intra-oral and laboratory methods to assess tooth wear, the latest ideas on de- and re-mineralisation processes involving enamel and dentine, new insights into the tooth structure-function relationship and the site specificity of anticaries treatments. Reviews of pellicle function and of the inverse relationship between caries and calculus complete the volume. This book is recommended to all oral care scientists, laboratory and clinical researchers alike, and to lecturers in dental medicine.

Influnce Of Environment And Heredity On Eruption Of Deciduous Teeth written by Richa Khanna and has been published by LAP Lambert Academic Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013 with categories.

Tooth is basically a hereditary unit that is in dynamic interplay with its environment, both affecting and being affected by its adjacent or surrounding tissues and organs. These surroundings, which are also by and large genetically determined, exert influence on the behaviour of tooth movement at all developmental stages, and are termed epigenetic factors. It is difficult, therefore, to make a clear-cut demarcation or draw a line of separation between the effects of environment and heredity. Both these factors act simultaneously and bring out a hybridized effect on their subject, the point of differentiation, however, being in the percentage of contribution. The eruption timing of a deciduous tooth is hence, determined by, firstly the contribution of the genetic constitution of the individual, which in turn depends on the genetic make up of the parents, and the susceptibility of its genetic constitution to alteration by various agents leading to abnormalities. Secondly, it is influenced by the nature of the surroundings in which the tooth develops which in turn depends on numerous factors that turn these surroundings either favourable or unfavourable for timely eruption.

Volume Two on the knowledge of the nature of teeth deals with the cosmic laws revealed in the dentition and their effects on humans. The description of the teeth as sensory organs to the surrounding power world of the cosmos as well as the knowledge of their educational ideas and laws provides the basis for a counter-cosmic knowledge of man.
