Discover the reality of what Angels can do for you and for your loved ones. Angels are ministering spirits who have been sent to assist, guide and protect the heirs of salvation.Learn how they operate and how to use their assistance in this life - now!Every Christian should know about the godly purposes of Angels, and why God created them, assigning them to serve mankind. They are simply fascinating! And they are very real. They exist to help and serve. The Theology of Angels presents more than a Biblical Study of angels, it also contains stories of true events in which Angels acted powerfully and lovingly upon individuals. It describes the reaction of those who do not believe in the existence of Angels in dealing with those who have received an Angelic visitation. It is a first rate Bible study for use in churches, seminaries, and Bible Colleges globally.Consider the following; The first thing their eyes saw was their maker - The Lord Jesus Christ, in the heavens, the place of their creation. As they stretched forth their wings for the first time in glory and felt the anticipation of flight, they did so in the presence of Almighty God. They were there when God spoke the words that formed and fastened the world in place in the midst of the blackness of the outer cosmos, illuminating it by hanging the stars. They witnessed the placement of the sun. They witnessed the moon and planets in orbit for the first time. They hovered in awe and wonder at the beauty of the light and its effects, as it gave rest to the darkness overtaking it, shining round about in glorious display. They were created to serve in the holy temple of God, it's celestial portages, and throughout the universe. They witnessed the grandeur and beauty as the Morning Stars sang together. They have seen the Majesty of God!They have walked among the stones upon the holy mountain of God. They were present when the brightest among them (Lucifer) initiated rebellion against God, convincing one third of their kind to follow him in his pursuit of false glory, riches, and ownership. They were present when one third of their brethren turned their backs on Almighty God and flew speedily away, in disgrace. Both fallen and faithful Angels were present at the crucifixion of Christ. They were present at Calvary's cross. They witnessed the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. One of them was with Christ in the tomb. They were there at the opening of the tomb. And today, they are among us.I invite you to join me in this journey through the Scriptures and experience the triumph and tragedies associated with Angels. Discover the beings who the holy Scriptures call 'ministers to the heirs of salvation', and the fate of the one third of their brethren that should have been. Angels are magnificent creatures. They were created to serve man and assist the anointed Cherub (Satan, formerly Lucifer) in his godly assignment of protecting, guiding and ensuring the well-being of the human race. Two thirds of the angels (billions) still carry out their intended and godly function to this day and will continue to do so forever. You'll find yourself very blessed as you gain greater comprehension of the reality of what God intends angels be and do for you. You'll come to understand how these powerful ministering spirits have been assigned by God to act in your best interests. You will discover how to activate angels to move on your behalf. You'll be impressed and encouraged by the forethought of Almighty God in His providing such an awesome resource. Truly, Angels just may be the friend you've never met but have always needed to know. Don't miss this opportunity to see the goodness of God at work by His faithful servants - The Angels!

Fallen Angels In The Theology Of St Augustine written by Gregory D. Wiebe and has been published by Oxford University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-09-23 with Religion categories.

This book ventures to describe Augustine of Hippo's understanding of demons, including the theology, angelology, and anthropology that contextualize it. Demons are, for Augustine as for the Psalmist (95:5 LXX) and the Apostle (1 Cor 10:20), the "gods of the nations." This means that Augustine's demons are best understood neither when they are "spiritualized" as personifications of psychological struggles, nor in terms of materialist contagions that undergird a superstitious moralism. Rather, because the gods of the nations are the paradigm of demonic power and influence over humanity, Augustine sees the Christian's moral struggle against them within broader questions of social bonds, cultural form, popular opinion, philosophical investigation, liturgical movement, and so forth. In a word, Augustine's demons have a religious significance, particularly in its Augustinian sense of bonds and duties between persons, and between persons and that which is divine. Demons are a highly integrated component of his broader theology, rooted in his conception of angels as the ministers of all creation under God, and informed by the doctrine of evil as privation and his understanding of the fall, his thoughts on human embodiment, desire, visions, and the limits of human knowledge, as well as his theology of religious incorporation and sacraments. As false mediators, demons are mediated by false religion, the body of the devil, which Augustine opposes with an appeal to the true mediator, Christ, and the true religion of his body, the church.

In response to actual questions many people have asked him about angels and demons, well-known author and philosophy professor Peter Kreeft separates fact from fantasy and myth from reality as he answers 100 common questions about these spiritual beings. Based on a very popular college course he teaches on this subject, this book responds to the incredible amount of interest in angelic beings and attempts to clear up some of the misinformation abounding in the numerous books today on what we know about these mysterious spirits. Drawing on the Bible, traditional Church teaching and St. Thomas Aquinas, Kreeft gives straight, clear answers to the perennial and philosophical questions asked about angels and demons throughout time. In his typical lucid, profound and sometimes humorous style, Kreeft answers such questions as ""What are angels made of?"", ""How do angels communicate with God?"", ""How do angels communicate with us?"", ""Do demons, or devils, or evil spirits really exist?"" and many more. Includes angel art.

No Ordinary Angel written by Susan R. Garrett and has been published by Yale University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2008-01-01 with Religion categories.

In this provocative, intelligent, and highly original addition to the Anchor Yale Bible Reference Library, Susan R. Garrett argues that angel talk has never been merely about angels. Rather, from ancient times until the present, talk about angels has served as a vehicle for reflection on other fundamental life questions, including the nature of God's presence and intervention in the world, the existence and meaning of evil, and the fate of humans after death. In No Ordinary Angel, Garrett examines how biblical and other ancient authors addressed such questions through their portrayals of angels. She compares the ancient angel talk to popular depictions of angels today and considers how the ancient and modern portraits of angels relate to Christian claims about Jesus. No Ordinary Angel offers important insights into the development of angelology, the origins of Christology, and popular Western spirituality ranging from fundamentalist to New Age. In doing so, it provokes stimulating theological reflection on key existential questions.

Jesus And The Angels written by Peter R. Carrell and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1997-07-10 with Body, Mind & Spirit categories.

This book, first published in 1997, examines the influence of angelology on the christology of the Apocalypse of John. In the Apocalypse, Jesus appears in glorious form reminiscent of angels in Jewish and Christian literature in the period between 200 BCE and 200 CE. Dr Carrell asks what significance this has for the christology of the Apocalypse. He concludes that by portraying Jesus in such a way that he has the form and function of an angel, and yet is also divine, the Apocalypse both upholds monotheism and at the same time provides a means for Jesus to be presented in visible, glorious form to his Church.
