“Wealth without work Pleasure without conscience Science without humanity Knowledge without character Politics without principle Commerce without morality Worship without sacrifice. https://vidjambov.blogspot.com/2023/01/book-inventory-vladimir-djambov-talmach.html ‘Accept earthly things as the weakest depiction of the heavenly.’ St. Macarius of Alexandria (the Younger) The Transfiguration of Jesus is an event reported in the New Testament when Jesus is transfigured and becomes radiant in glory upon a mountain. The Synoptic Gospels (Matthew 17:1–8, Mark 9:2–8, Luke 9:28–36) describe it, and the Second Epistle of Peter also refers to it (2 Peter 1:16–18). It has also been hypothesized that the first chapter of the Gospel of John alludes to it (John 1:14). In these accounts, Jesus and three of his apostles, Peter, James, and John, go to a mountain (the Mount of Transfiguration) to pray. On the mountain, Jesus begins to shine with bright rays of light. Then the prophets Moses and Elijah appear next to him and he speaks with them. Jesus is then called "Son" by a voice in the sky, assumed to be God the Father, as in the Baptism of Jesus. Significance The transfiguration is one of the miracles of Jesus in the Gospels. This miracle is unique among others that appear in the canonical gospels, in that the miracle happens to Jesus himself. Thomas Aquinas considered the transfiguration "the greatest miracle" in that it complemented baptism and showed the perfection of life in Heaven. The transfiguration is one of the five major milestones in the gospel narrative of the life of Jesus, the others being baptism, crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension. In Christian teachings, the transfiguration is a pivotal moment, and the setting on the mountain is presented as the point where human nature meets God: the meeting place of the temporal and the eternal, with Jesus himself as the connecting point, acting as the bridge between heaven and earth. Moreover, Christians consider the transfiguration to fulfill an Old Testament messianic prophecy that Elijah would return again after his ascension (Malachi 4:5–6). Gardner (2015, p. 218) states: The very last of the writing prophets, Malachi, promised a return of Elijah to hold out hope for repentance before judgment (Mal. 4:5–6). ... Elijah himself would reappear in the Transfiguration. There he would appear alongside Moses as a representative of all the prophets who looked forward to the coming of the Messiah (Matt. 17:2–9; Mark 9:2–10; Luke 9:28–36). ... Christ's redemptive sacrifice was the purpose for which Elijah had ministered while on earth. ... And it was the goal about which Elijah spoke to Jesus in the Transfiguration.

Our Father, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, from the very beginning, declared "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: .." This is a great mystery, and I am now more convinced by the Scriptures than ever, that this man who God had in His heart to create was to eventually be fully complete in Christ Jesus, the Word, that was made flesh. It started in the garden when He made Adam a living soul. This process of the full stature and maturation of redeemed humanity continued after the fall of Adam in the garden. The Scripture declares that Christ was slain from the foundation of the world. This implies to the enlightened that God had a final divine ingredient to place in humanity which included deity. God, through His grace, has given birth to a New Creation with new species born of the incorruptible seed of the Word. We are God's offspring, destined to be like Christ; not only in Spirit as we are now, but we are to receive a spiritual body that is made of the same substance Jesus received during the awesome resurrection power displayed when He was resurrected from both spiritual and physical death. Jesus is the first born of many children. Our Father wants us to grow in the living reality of this Sonship. Our Father is the Husbandman, and He is building a Kingdom in the earth that is exploding into the fullness of His brightness. The earth shall be filled with the knowledge and the glory of the Lord. There is nothing the enemy of darkness can do to stop the kingdom of light. This is an awakening generation that will, by the grace of God, throw away the knowledge and the ways of the world, counting it all dung for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ. We are not satisfied with the formality and ritualism that has reduced many believers to spiritual blindness by giving them a false identity, luring them into the deception that has plagued humanity since the fall of Adam. We are awakening to the light of the Word that declares Jesus has made us kings and priests unto God. Prepare to meet your Heavenly Father God on the level of the righteousness of Christ Jesus. Get ready to rejoice evermore in the Good News of the Gospel and the glad tidings of peace! You are the redeemed of the Lord!
