The Truth About Agent Based Modeling written by Brian Heath and has been published by LAP Lambert Academic Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011 with Computer simulation categories.

The popularity of Agent-Based Modeling (ABM) in both research and in practice has taken off with the introduction of personal computers and the acceptance of computer-based experiments. However, the quick and widespread popularity of ABM has resulted in many shortcomings and gaps that hinders it from truly being a revolution in modeling and simulation. This book looks at the truth behind ABM and develops original ideas and tools to help fill in the theoretical, historical, and practical gaps. To get to the truth behind ABM, the field of ABM is examined from many perspectives. First complex systems, the historical emergence of ABM, and philosophical issues related to ABM are examined to establish a clear foundation. Next the current practice of ABM is investigated through a comprehensive 279 article. Based on these opportunities identified in the survey, a new diagramming technique called the Conceptual Model for Simulation (CM4S) Diagram is developed. Finally, the effectiveness of the CM4S Diagram is evaluated through the development of social science, military, and supply chain ABM simulations.

Modeling God written by J G Lenhart and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007-07 with Christian life categories.

For over twenty years, JG Lenhart has used four principles to solve multi-million dollar problems and create predictive models. In "Modeling God", he quickly shows how these four principles (Modeletics(tm)) prove God's existence and identity. The rest of the book shows how all of God's characteristics are a result of God's identity. Understanding God's identity is a cause resulting in being able to take direction from God more clearly and more often. Religion and science are supposed to work together. Religion is a belief system (worldview). Science is not a worldview. Science is a tool for determining truth. Religion has always used science to determine truth. Throughout history, every mistake that has ever been made in politics, economics, religion, science, medicine, etc. can be traced to one or more of these principles being misapplied. In fact, every misinterpretation of the Bible can be traced back to a misapplication of Modeletics(tm). Currently, everyone applies these four principles perfectly to everyone else. However, every one of us avoids applying Modeletics(tm) to ourselves. These four principles go beyond apologetics which is defensive and based on what you already know. Modeletics(tm) will fix your wrong thought patterns. It will identify truth and increase your understanding. "Modeling God" shows how to intentionally work on the causes that lead to the effects we all desire: peace, joy, humility, love, forgiveness, mercy, righteousness, etc.

Modeling written by Christopher C. Jobes and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022 with Engineering categories.

"Engineering design uses models during the abstraction phase to help engineers understand and engage with God's world and, through their resulting designs, connect God's creation to humankind. The models themselves are abstractions, or simplifications, that frequently only consider a small subset of the possible properties of the object of the design that make the abstraction phase of the design process more tractable and cost-effective. Selecting the necessary properties of the object of the design requires the engineer to carefully determine the minimum level of detail needed in the model. To make these engineering judgments, the engineer places faith and trust in those whose works they have been taught and whose theories they are using while also trusting the inerrant transcription of this accumulated knowledge. While the resulting models are intended to reveal the truth of a system's behavior, the necessary simplifications unavoidably affect the performance or reliability of the design by introducing errors. The increased use and advancing capabilities of modeling have made a progressively greater impact on society. Also, the profession itself has been impacted. This paper will examine and discuss these issues and explore a few pedagogical implications for the engineering mechanics curriculum taught at Christian institutions encountered."--page 1.̣

Models Truth And Realism written by Barry Taylor and has been published by Clarendon Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2006-05-18 with Philosophy categories.

Barry Taylor's book mounts an argument against one of the fundamental tenets of much contemporary philosophy, the idea that we can make sense of reality as existing objectively, independently of our capacities to come to know it. Part One sets the scene by arguings that traditional realism can be explicated as a doctrine about truth - that truth is objective, that is, public, bivalent, and epistemically independent. Part Two, the centrepiece of the book, shows how a form of Hilary Putnam's model-theoretic argument demonstrates that no such notion of truth can be founded on the idea of correspondence, as explained in model-theoretic terms (more traditional accounts of correspondence having been already disposed of in Part One). Part Three argues that non-correspondence accounts of truth - truth as superassertibility or idealized rational acceptability, formal conceptions of truth, Tarskian truth - also fail to meet the criteria for objectivity; along the way, it also dismisses the claims of the latterday views of Putnam, and of similar views articulated by John McDowell, to constitute a new, less traditional form of realism. In the Coda, Taylor bolsters some of the considerations advanced in Part Three in evaluating formal conceptions of truth, by assessing and rejecting the claims of Robert Brandom to have combined such an account of truth with a satisfactory account of semantic structure. He concludes that there is no defensible notion of truth which preserves the theses of traditional realism, nor any extant position sufficiently true to the ideals of that doctrine to inherit its title. So the only question remaining is which form of antirealism to adopt.
