The times in which we live are often described as "unprecedented." The word might be overused, yet the last few years have seen exceptional healthcare challenges, loss of human life, economic disruption, and political turmoil. We are now in the second year of novel coronavirus and its global impact. Most people either know someone who died from the virus or have experienced its nefarious effects in other ways--illness, unemployment, school and border closures, shortages, confinement, addiction, fear, anxiety. Families were separated from loved ones who died alone in hospitals and nursing homes. We wait for a return to normal or a new normal and live with the lingering suspicion that life will never be the same. Where do we look for hope? As Christians, our ultimate hope is in God and his promises. Christians have dual citizenship, earthly and heavenly. On earth they want what most people want--security, satisfaction, and significance--and desire a better world. Christians also assert that this world order will pass away and every person will live somewhere forever. These messages from God's word seek to point Christians and non-Christians to Jesus Christ as the only one who provides genuine, eternal hope.

Excerpt from The Unchanging Christian Message: A Sermon Preached at the Ordination of Rev. Alfred Porter Putnam, as Minister of the T. Pleasant Church in Roxbury, December 19, 1855 Here the objection may be made, that such a broad classification is undiscriminating, and therefore unjust. God says "He that wanders from the path of understanding shall dwell in the congregation of the dead." Proverbs 21:16 "For a man to be without knowledge, it is not good." "For my people are destroyed without knowledge." "For they know not neither will they understand so they walk on in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said You are gods and all of you are children of the Most High." The above are verdicts from the mouth of God who can never lie. Statistics has it that over 90% of the world's population are poor in spite of all the rigorous educational trainings mankind has subjected herself to. Isaiah 42:22 "But this is a people robbed and plundered; All of them are snared in holes, and they are hidden in prison houses; They are for prey, and no one delivers; For plunder, and no one says, "Restore!" John 10:10 "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy." The devil is behind the poverty of billions of people worldwide. But God wants every single person alive on earth to be so blessed and prosperous that everyone will be doing good to others until poverty is eradicated and Satan sent back to hell to go and grieve. And that's why God sent Jesus His Son! John 10:10 "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I [Jesus Christ] have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." Second Corinthians 8 verse 9 says, "For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich." Jesus Christ came to make every human being alive on earth rich! So, you must be restored to Heaven's order of prosperity and wealth. Jesus Christ began His public ministry by preaching the Gospel of prosperity and superabundance to the poor. Why? Because it is only God the creator and maker of man that can show man the way out of poverty. This book is the secret that made Jesus rise out of the gloom and poverty of Nazareth to emerge the controller and distributor of God's resources on earth in His days on earth and the possessor of all power and resource controller of Heaven and earth today. And all Jesus recovered from the devil, He did recover for your sake and wants you to have what rightfully belongs to you and use it to glorify God our Father here in this world. May God give you an Understanding of God's Gospel to the Poor because it will bring a revolution in your life, family, nation and the entire world at large. Read and be blessed! Peace!

Systematic Theology Second Edition written by Wayne A. Grudem and has been published by Zondervan Academic this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-12-08 with Religion categories.

This new edition of Systematic Theology by Wayne Grudem is one of the most important resources for helping you understand Scripture and grow as a Christian. The most widely used resource of the last 25 years in its area, Systematic Theology has been thoroughly revised and expanded for the first time while retaining the features that have made it the standard in its field: clear explanations, an emphasis on each doctrine's scriptural basis, and practical applications to daily life. With nearly 250 pages of new content and revisions, this new edition now includes the following distinctive features: Updated analysis of recent controversies within evangelical theology, including the eternal relationship between the Father and the Son in the Trinity, the role of women in the church, miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit, and contemporary worship music. New discussion and critiques of recent theological controversies situated outside of traditional evangelical theology, such as open theism, the "new perspective on Paul," Molinism (or "middle knowledge"), "Free Grace" theology, and the preterist view of Christ's second coming. Completely revised chapter on the clarity of Scripture. Completely revised chapter on creation and evolution, including a longer critique of theistic evolution and an extensive discussion on the age of the earth. New discussion of how biblical inerrancy applies to some specific "problem verses" in the Gospels. Additional material explaining evangelical Protestant differences with Roman Catholicism, Protestant liberalism, and Mormonism. Completely updated bibliographies. All Scripture quotations updated from RSV to ESV. Updated section on contemporary worship music. Numerous other updates and corrections. Part of the brilliance of Systematic Theology has been its simplicity and ease of use. Each chapter follows the same structure: discussion of the doctrine being considered, an explanation of that doctrine's biblical support and possible objections, followed by personal application and key terms to know for personal growth. Chapters also include a Scripture memory passage, references to other literature on the topic, and suggested hymns and worship songs. If you think theology is hard to understand or boring, then this new edition of Systematic Theology will change your mind.

Meet Generation Z written by James Emery White and has been published by Baker Books this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-01-17 with Religion categories.

Move over Boomers, Xers, and Millennials; there's a new generation--making up more than 25 percent of the US population--that represents a seismic cultural shift. Born approximately between 1993 and 2012, Generation Z is the first truly post-Christian generation, and they are poised to challenge every church to rethink its role in light of a rapidly changing culture. From the award-winning author of The Rise of the Nones comes this enlightening introduction to the youngest generation. James Emery White explains who this generation is, how it came to be, and the impact it is likely to have on the nation and the faith. Then he reintroduces us to the ancient countercultural model of the early church, arguing that this is the model Christian leaders must adopt and adapt if we are to reach members of Generation Z with the gospel. He helps readers rethink evangelistic and apologetic methods, cultivate a culture of invitation, and communicate with this connected generation where they are. Pastors, ministry leaders, youth workers, and parents will find this an essential and hopeful resource.

Meditations on the Psalms helping women to express their feelings and grow in their faith. Many of us suppress our feelings because we’re worried they are ungodly. Others of us are so led by our emotions that we let them dominate everything, including our faith. In these honest, personal and uplifting meditations on 24 selected psalms, Courtney Reissig looks at emotions we all experience, ranging from shame, anxiety, and anger through to gratitude, hope, and joy. For each, she shows how the psalms give us permission to acknowledge how we feel before God, and how they can help us to use those feelings productively and faithfully. This inspiring book will give women a language to cry out to God in order to help them process their feelings, as well as help them to grow in their faith. Can be used as a daily devotion.
