Historical love stories have always set an example, rather an inspiration for others. Even those love stories would be hard to find in the current generation. But what would be the effect on the readers when they encounter a historical love story in an advance epoch? The customary ending scenario of a love story is either sacrifice of lives of the lovers or else living an ostracized life far away from their loved ones. Well, history repeats itself, but is the current generation ready to sacrifice something for the sake of love? This is a story of a guy named Nikhil and a girl named Tannu. Nikhil was working with a Multinational company in Mumbai, whereas Tannu was Fashion Designer in the same city. Nikhil being an ebullient and a carefree person with regard to his future, while Tannu being an independent and a career oriented girl with goals in her mind, which she had to achieve before her parents force her to wedlock. Both have different paths and perspectives about life, and they are not even aware of the consequences they would be facing in future. Would their divergent career paths and ambitions affect their relationship? Would this be the fountainhead of an unsuccessful love story?

This classic love story begins in the Spring of 1892 in a small southern town only a few folks have heard of: Green Springs. It was love at first sight on that early Easter morn when Cristy Anne Hayse and Lisette Haley locked eyes for the first time. From that moment on they knew their destinies would forever be intertwined in the tangled web known as life. "Not one word had been spoken, and yet, the connection achieved by that one magic moment in which our eyes locked spoke volumes more than any words could ever describe." - Cristy Anne, The River: The Unsung Love Story. What started as a simple glance, would turn into a life long romantic struggle between the love they bore for one another and societies expectations of who the two were supposed to be.It was a love that would transcend all time, trials, gender, and location. A love truly for the ages. A romance that flowed as true as a river's tide. This tale is of the unsung love story known by most folks as, The River.

A Tale Of Poor Lovers written by Vasco Pratolini and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1949 with Florence (Italy) categories.

"A postwar Italian novel which falls far short of Silone's Fontamara with which it is compared, and similarly is disappointing viewed against the distinction of such films as Shoe Shine, The Open City and Paisan. Mr. Pratolini has packed a tiny street in Florence with a parade of characters and the effect is claustrophobic rather than microcosmic ... The action is centered in the middle '20's, in the small, poverty-striken area of the Via del Corno, where men like Lando, a sniveling pimp, are alternating in and out of prison; where the Signora, a retired, diseased ex-prostitute, turned lesbian, battens on young girls; where Maciste, a blacksmith, is killed by Fascists because he is a Communist; where the Nesi, coal merchant, brutalizes any woman that appeals to him; where everybody goes to bed with everybody else; and where the neighbors lean out of windows and exchange unsavory gossip avidly. The couple of good characters are well hidden in the mire. In an effort to make his novel tight, the author has attempted to squeeze a galaxy of "universal" types into too small an area and the result belongs in the Department of Utter Confusion. It lacks light, air, space, and in his effort to be significant, Pratolini succeeds only in being trite."--Kirkus

James Boggs (1919-1993) and Grace Lee Boggs (1915-2015) were two largely unsung but critically important figures in the black freedom struggle. Born and raised in Alabama, James Boggs came to Detroit during the Great Migration, becoming an automobile worker and a union activist. Grace Lee was a Chinese American scholar who studied Hegel, worked with Caribbean political theorist C. L. R. James, and moved to Detroit to work toward a new American revolution. As husband and wife, the couple was influential in the early stages of what would become the Black Power movement, laying the intellectual foundation for racial and urban struggles during one of the most active social movement periods in recent U.S. history. Stephen Ward details both the personal and the political dimensions of the Boggses' lives, highlighting the vital contributions these two figures made to black activist thinking. At once a dual biography of two crucial figures and a vivid portrait of Detroit as a center of activism, Ward's book restores the Boggses, and the intellectual strain of black radicalism they shaped, to their rightful place in postwar American history.

In a last-ditch effort to prevent disaster, Tom creates his own makeshift counterterrorism team, assembling his most loyal officers, two elderly war veterans, a couple of misfit teenagers, and Dr. Kelly Ashton. As the town’s infamous bad boy, Tom was always in love with Kelly, a sweet “girl next door” who has grown into a remarkable woman. In the echo of silence that follows a loss, we often find ourselves standing on the precipice of an immense void, staring into the depths of grief. This void, though seemingly desolate and forbidding, is the landscape of our healing, a silent testament to the resilience of the human spirit. "Verses from the Void: Poetry for the Mourning Soul" is a journey through this terrain, an exploration of the multifaceted emotions and experiences we encounter when faced with the profound impact of loss. Each chapter in this collection is a beacon of light, illuminating a specific stage of the grieving process. We begin with "Early Grief," a poignant exploration of the initial shock and heartbreak that accompanies loss. The poems in this section serve as raw, candid depictions of the very first steps we take into the labyrinth of grief. "Memories and Nostalgia" and "The Void Whispers" mark the subsequent stages, delving into the heartrending pull of the past and the aching loneliness that seeps into the corners of our existence. These poems evoke images of cherished moments and the daunting silence that reverberates in their absence, respectively. Moving further into the labyrinth, we are met with "Anger and Betrayal" and "Depression and Despair," where the verses embody the turbulence of rage and the deep pits of sorrow. These are the dark valleys of our grief journey, where emotions, raw and unfiltered, rise like tidal waves. "Longing and Yearning" touches upon the deep-rooted desire for what once was, the yearning for the presence of the departed. Each verse echoes with the quiet whispers of longing, like a tender, heartfelt lament for the familiar, now lost. As we navigate the complexity of these emotions, we slowly tread into the realms of "Acceptance and Peace," a stage where the realization of loss transforms into a tranquil understanding. The verses here speak of a farewell - not a final goodbye, but an acceptance of a different form of presence, a continuation of love beyond the physical realm. The final chapter, "Resilience and Healing," represents the dawn breaking on the horizon of our journey. It is a testament to the indomitable human spirit that, even in the face of unimaginable loss, finds the strength to heal and grow. These poems speak of hope and renewal, of finding light in the heart of darkness. "Verses from the Void: Poetry for the Mourning Soul" is more than a collection of poems; it is a compassionate companion for those navigating the winding path of grief. It is an acknowledgement of the pain, a celebration of the memories, and ultimately, a beacon of hope towards healing and reconciliation. It is my sincere hope that these verses bring solace to your mourning soul, reminding you that even in the darkest nights, the dawn awaits.
