THE UNSUNG VERSES: A Poetry Collection is not just a book, it is a dream come true. Getting a book published by including poems which are extremely close to my heart, was always a desire, which blossomed in my heart over the years of my growing up. Literature is the food for soul for me. I have always took pride in collecting books from writers across the globe. I am a voracious reader and a creative writer. I write poems, stories and articles in English and Hindi. This Anthology has 51 poems composed by me. I derive inspiration from daily life and various aspects from the myriad human emotions. Life is not life, if emotions are drained from the fountain of the heart. Majority of my poems are filled with the love between a mother and child. I empathize with people from all walks of life be it a heart broken lady, a small girl vendor or a transgender. The book is dedicated to my son, who is the sole purpose of my life. I wish, when he grows up, he nurtures and inherits the love for literature. I strive to raise him as a human being, the society may be proud of someday. Whatever he aims to be in life, my priority is to let him inculcate human values in his nature and character as he grows up as a man. I am sure, my efforts in composing these poems will be appreciated by my most respected and loved readers.

The best-known songs in the world are violent, sexist, and religious — so why do we celebrate national anthems when we should be rewriting them? “Fascinating and thoughtful ... showcases how anthems divide us even as they promise to bring communities together.” — MARK CLAGUE, author of O Say Can You Hear?: A Cultural Biography of The Star-Spangled Banner This fascinating popular history of national anthems begins in a London theatre in 1745 when the modern idea of anthems was born. They started out as triumphant expressions of national superiority by glorifying violence, claiming the support of God, and mostly ignoring women. David Pate has experienced the violent side of anthems firsthand: as a schoolboy in Scotland, he was caned for refusing to sing “God Save the Queen.” He says it’s time to dump lyrics about cutting throats, watering fields with blood, building walls with the bodies of enemies, and celebrating the sound of machine guns. The Worst Songs in the World looks at the origins of many of the world’s anthems, from the movie theme song that became China’s national anthem to the English tune used for “The Star-Spangled Banner.” This wide-ranging and deeply researched narrative combines politics, personalities, humour, and vivid storytelling to argue for better national songs.

The book is a collection of 47 short poems and verses that I have written from encounters in both my working and social life. it is a mixture of both serious and light hearted verse with something to suite all tastes. In the early 1980's I was working with teenagers who, for various reasons found it difficult to react to normal daily living and I found that by writing verse I could connect. As I have grown older I have found myself going to Open Mic nights were people sing self-penned songs, or read verse that they have created, this has encouraged me to once again put pen to paper. This brings me on to my recent work which includes The Unsung Hero. This I wrote and performed at a fund raising night in support of injured service men and women. The verses are written to relate to the service men and women who come back home from conflicts with troubled minds and do not receive the help that that need or deserve. The first set of verses relate to myself and my birth, these I have written from the factual information supplied by my mother. From their, my mind wanders to all kinds of weird and wonderful places. People who have read my work have, through their enjoyment of it, encouraged me to bring together the verses in this book. I hope that you to will enjoy my thoughts and wanderings of my mind. In all poems keep in mind that they relate to us as living beings.

The Organ Works Of Marcel Dupr written by Graham Steed and has been published by Pendragon Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1999 with Juvenile Nonfiction categories.

Marcel Dupré's career as an organist spanned the first seven decades of the 20th century, and took him all over Europe, North America, and Australasia. He delighted vastaudiences wherever he played, and attracted large numbers of enthusiastic students, for whom his church of St. Sulpice in Paris and his home at Meudon were their musical Mecca. Dupré had a profound influence on a host of musicians who sought his guidance, and as a composer for the organ his place in the historical line of J.S. Bach, the Couperins, César Franck, Widor, and Vierne is assured. Graham Steed is recognized for his skilled and musicianly advocacy of Dupré's compositions and he brings a keen and discerning intelligence to his analyses.
