Open Letter From Nobel Peace Prize Laureates and Citizens of the World Against War and Nuclear Weapons: We reject war and nuclear weapons. We call on all our fellow citizens of the world to join us in protecting our planet, home for all of us, from those who threaten to destroy it. The invasion of Ukraine has created a humanitarian disaster for its people. The entire world is facing the greatest threat in history: a large-scale nuclear war, capable of destroying our civilization and causing vast ecological damage across the Earth. We call for an immediate ceasefire and the withdrawal of all Russian military forces from Ukraine, and for all possible efforts at dialogue to prevent this ultimate disaster. We call on Russia and NATO to explicitly renounce any use of nuclear weapons in this conflict, and we call on all countries to support the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons to ensure that we never again face a similar moment of nuclear danger. The time to ban and eliminate nuclear weapons is now. It is the only way to guarantee that the inhabitants of the planet will be safe from this existential threat. It is either the end of nuclear weapons, or the end of us. We reject governance through imposition and threats, and we advocate for dialogue, coexistence and justice. First published in 2000. This is Volume 10, No 1 of the International Journal for the Psychology of Religion. One of the most important concepts in the history of psychology is intelligence. Traditionally, intelligence has been thought of as a more or less unitary mental capacity, connoting a general problem-solving ability and skill at abstract reasoning. More recently, a major counter-argument to the idea that intelligence is unitary was published by Howard Gardner (1993) In his view, intelligence is not a unitary construct but instead is multidimensional, comprised of linguistic, musical, logical-mathematical, spatial, bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, and intrapersonal facets. Since then, a dialogue has continued about what does and does not constitute an intelligence. This journal is a collection of essays that discuss this question.

During the Cold War Vienna became an intelligence stronghold. Then the Curtain fell. Yet even 30 years later, Vienna is the world leader in espionage. With at least 7,000 spies groping around in the Austrian capital, every second diplomat in Vienna can be linked to his or her country's intelligence agencies; which makes Vienna an ideal location to study stressed out spies, killers and fanatics in the spy scene. This study explores the complex and intricate ramifications of espionage, assassinations and international politics; and concludes that disruptive communication and lack of emotional intelligence among spies are the main causes for Burnout within the Intelligence Community - on a psychological, inter-agency and political level. The study also outlines that neo-Nazi activities are a big problem in Austria - the FPÖ, the ÖVP and the SPÖ Party being responsible for neo-Nazi activities. Hence it is imperative that a denazification is implemented in Austria. This study also examines the KGB in Belarus; which is severely challenged with PTSD and Burnout these days - as recent events in Belarus indicate. The Belarusian authorities, including the KGB security police, have been accused of kidnapping and threatening to kill the Belarusian opposition politician Maria Kolesnikova. Kolesnikova, a trained flautist and music teacher who has emerged as one of the figureheads of protests against the authoritarian leader, Alexander Lukashenko, said she was told by security officers that she would be removed from Belarus "alive or in bits" after she thwarted their plan to dump her in Ukraine. Maria Kolesnikova's complaint included the names and ranks of individual officers of the KGB and the organised crime agency whom she accuses of threatening her, and said she would be able to identify them. So those individuals need to be charged and convicted, so that rule of law can be restored in Belarus. It should also be noted, that on 23 May 2021 - a date which will live in infamy - Belarusian journalist Roman Protasevich, 26, was detained after Belarus's president, Alexander Lukashenko, personally authorized the forced downing of his Ryanair flight travelling between Greece and Lithuania. His Russian girlfriend, Sofia Sapega, was also seized. Hence it is imperative that Alexander Lukashenko immediately releases Journalist Roman Protasevich and Sofia Sapega; as stipulated by international law and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR).

Countless children - many of them under five years old - are trapped in north-east Syria after fleeing areas held by Islamic State during the recent escalation in fighting; according to the NGO 'Save the Children'. Amid efforts by European countries to repatriate children, the figures underline the scale and difficulty of the problem to evacuate the children. Children who lived under Isis have witnessed appalling acts of brutality, including beheadings, and may have been left with physical injuries and psychological needs from years of conflict and repression. While the NGO welcomed a recent shift in the UK government's stance towards providing "safe passage" for British orphans to come to the UK, it said the vast majority of the children were with their mothers and all had been swept up in horrific events beyond their control... Hence the international community urgently needs to ensure that ALL children in war-torn Syria are being provided with safety, protection and health care; as stipulated by the UNCRC.

Human rights activist Wang Meiyu, 38, was detained after he stood outside the Hunan provincial police department holding a sign that called on President Xi Jinping to resign and implement universal suffrage in China. He was later charged with "picking quarrels and provoking trouble," a vague offence often given to dissidents. Wang, who began his work as an activist when his home was forcibly demolished, has been detained and suffered torture before. In 2018 after he held up the placard calling for President Xi's resignation, police stormed into his home - victimizing, threatening and torturing him. Wang died on 23rd September 2019, after suffering torture in Chinese custody; bleeding from his eyes, mouth, ears and nose. The author's opinion: President Xi should take Wang's brave call for universal suffrage to heart, and implement universal suffrage in China; so that democracy and civil rights - including freedom of religion for Muslim minorities - can finally be manifested for all 1.4 billion people in China.

To restore the Desert Dream in Darfur, the God Amon - Lord of the two lands - sends his army of immortals to defeat the evil spirits in the North and South. But his army gets scattered to the four winds; his Lightbringers being expelled, banished and chased away. Only the little genie, Aiza the Daring, remains in Sudan; who is oppressed by the malicious Marids, Omar al-Bashir and Salva Kiir Mayardit; and the evil Efreets NISS and NSS. Being a daydreamer, Aiza is uncertain how she is supposed to defeat such mighty and evil opponents; so she decides to enlist the aid of Archangel Ariel to defeat the evil spirits in the lands. But there is one problem: Ariel is sort of a prima-donna, having an inflated view of her importance - at least Aiza thinks so. Being a fussy and posh Whity, Ariel is unable to appreciate the magic of the land, and hence sees no reason in restoring the Desert Dream in the Sudan. So Aiza and Ariel start bickering with each other, while the evil spirits continue to wreak havoc in the land...
