In Taiwan, the Chinese National Standard CNS 6873 A 3118 states the procedures for the determination of indoor ventilation rate. Basically, CNS 6873 uses CO2 as the tracer gas to measure the ventilation rates. Therefore, in order to evaluate indoor radon pollution sources and the ventilation rates, radon was used as the tracer gas in this study.The first stage of this study focused on measuring the potential indoor radon sources and discussed the radon emission rates in detail. The results showed that the element in the test building with the highest radon emission rate was the wall, followed by the ceiling and the floor. The second stage of this study used radon as the tracer gas to measure the indoor pollution emission and ventilation rates. Well-mixed model was applied as the physical model to carry out regression analysis to obtain the steady-state concentration and emission rates of the target space. The steady-state concentration ranged 264.3~373.1 Bq/m3 in summer and 392.2~466.8 Bq/m3 in winter; The radon emission rate was 4.066~11.42 kBq/hr in summer and between 5.630~10.79 kBq/hr in winter.The result shows the radon concentration for the target space is 2
