"Tigeren i sit leje" fra 1999 er en biografi om erhvervsmanden og ingeniøren Henning Holck-Larsen (1907-2003), der i 1930’erne drog til Indien sammen med vennen Søren Toubro og skabte firmaet Larsen & Toubro. Virksomheden udviklede sig fra at være en lille importvirksomhed til en kæmpe koncern med mange tusinde ansatte, som producerede vidt forskellige produkter. Det er ikke blot en fortælling om en dansk iværksætter, men også historien om et land under store forandringer, der gik fra at være en engelsk koloni til at blive en selvstændig nation og selvforsynende stormagt. Bogen er blevet til på baggrund af en række længere interviews med Holck-Larsen i 1996. Jørgen Harboe (f. 1943) er dansk journalist og forfatter. Han blev udlært som journalist ved Kristeligt Dagblad, hvor han især beskæftigede sig med mellemøstlige forhold. Efter sin elevtid fik han arbejde ved ulandsforeningen Svalerne og Sydasien, som bragte ham til Bangladesh i 1976. Siden har Harboe boet og befundet sig ved verdens brændpunkter i folkeoplysningens tjeneste, hvor han har formidlet emner som global fattigdom, krig og kriser. Han var blandt andet udsendt som menneskeretsovervåger i Rwanda efter folkedrabet i 1994 og våbenhvileobservator i Sri Lanka.
