Aunque la tipografía del griego clásico tiene casi 550 años de historia, ha sido poco estudiada. En los 26 capítulos de que consta este estudio, se analizan detalladamente las tipografías griegas utilizadas por impresores tan famosos como Aldo Manucio, Froben, Robert Estienne, Plantino, los Elzevir, Baskerville, Fournier, Bodoni, Didot, etc., sin olvidar los diseños de época moderna (Van Krimpen, Eric Gill, Hermann Zapf y Matthew Carter, entre otros), además de hacer un repaso al panorama digital actual, incluyendo las últimas fuentes digitales del tipo Unicode. El libro contiene más de 100 ilustraciones. Sin duda el más completo estudio sobre la tipografía griega, cuya evolución acompaña en muchos aspectos a la de la propia cultura europea, disponible actualmente en cualquier idioma.

Actualmente trabaja como profesor de Latín y Griego en Plasencia (España). Tiene publicado un manual de similares características a éste sobre "Paleografía Griega" en que hace un recorrido por los tipos de letra utilizados en papiros y manuscritos, desde el siglo IV a.C. hasta el siglo XVI. Además es diseñador de fuentes informáticas (ALPHABETUM Unicode, paleográficas griegas, paleográficas latinas, etc.) para escribir idiomas antiguos, y traductor del poema épico latino "Argonáuticas" de Valerio Flaco y de las "Elegías" de Maximiano. También es el editor de la versión poética de Juan de Arjona de la "Tebaida" de Estacio. Su primer libro, publicado en 2012 por la editorial Dykinson: "Historia del alfabeto y de las letras del abecedario romano", hace un repaso a los azarosos devenires del alfabeto desde sus ancestros fenicios, griegos, etruscos y romanos hasta nuestros días. Finalmente se analiza cada letra del abecedario romano, explicando su origen, su denominación y el motivo de su apariencia gráfica, al tiempo que se ofrecen curiosas anécdotas referentes a ellas.
