This book is borne out of a passion of the author to press home the salient point of effective pastoral care as an important aspect of nurturing believers in the body of Christ. The author has a word for congregational members in terms of their responsibility in sustaining pastoral work through the adherence to a "code of conduct" implicating selfless giving and disciplined service to God and the pastorate.
