Este é um livro híbrido, onde poesia e prosa se encontram e temas como amor, solidão, sexo, morte constroem a tessitura da obra. “Solidão é quando o único barulho a ressoar no quarto é o gorjeio”; “Os que deixamos de amar / deixemos partir / como se desfazem os desenhos de nuvens” são exemplos de versos responsáveis pelo lirismo de alguns poemas. Mas o humor também se faz presente, mostrando que o autor não se prende a uma única vertente poética. Como no primeiro livro do poeta, “Liquidificador: poesia para vita mina” (2007), os textos fazem experimentos diversificados sob o aspecto formal e temático. A prosa está representada por crônicas e contos publicados em jornal e encerra-se com uma narrativa que mescla humor e suspense. Trata-se do conto “Não mediquem minha tristeza”, a estória de uma mulher casada, de meia idade, que se envolve com um rapaz de 19 anos enquanto o marido viaja, o que trará consequências irreversíveis para sua vida. “Talvez um escritor talentoso pudesse me dar um destino como o de Luísa. Entediada com a solidão e o cotidiano burguês da sociedade traiu o marido com o primo, amor dos tempos de infância. Você não é meu primo. Mas quem sabe eu deveria ser acometida por uma doença e também morrer, como a personagem do Eça. Ou me suicidar como as adúlteras de Flaubert ou Tolstói. Condenada ao exílio? Não. Sou covarde de mais pra ter o mesmo destino de Capitu.”
