Il racconto di esordio di Ottavia Zeni, all’ombra del drago, della tigre e di spietate bande yakuza. Ottavia Zeni è nata a Milano nel 1986. Dopo la laurea in Lingue e culture dell’Asia orientale, ha cominciato ad andare verso est e non si è fermata fino a che non è arrivata sul bordo; lì si è procurata due gatti e una famiglia. The Medici Women is a study of the women of the famous Medici family of Florence in the fifteenth and early sixteenth centuries. Natalie Tomas examines critically the changing contribution of the women in the Medici family to the eventual success of the Medici regime and their exercise of power within it; and contributes to our historical understanding of how women were able to wield power in late medieval and early modern Italy and Europe. Tomas takes a feminist approach that examines the experience of the Medici women within a critical framework of gender analysis, rather than biography. Using the relationship between gender and power as a vantage point, she analyzes the Medici women's uses of power and influence over time. She also analyzes the varied contemporary reactions to and representation of that power, and the manner in which the women's actions in the political sphere changed over the course of the century between republican and ducal rule (1434-1537). The narrative focuses especially on how women were able to exercise power, the constraints placed upon them, and how their gender intersected with the exercise of power and influence. Keeping the historiography to a minimum and explaining all unfamiliar Italian terms, Tomas makes her narrative clear and accessible to non-specialists; thus The Medici Women appeals to scholars of women's studies across disciplines and geographical boundaries.

E forse anche del suo futuro. Luci a Saigon ha vinto il secondo premio al concorso nazionale “Pluriverso femminile” indetto da Edizioni Milella. Dalla motivazione: “la protagonista appare emblema di audacia e serenità, e Saigon assurge a topos dell’universo femminile”. Alessandra Zenarola, laureata in Scienze della formazione, lavora come assistente sociale. Possiede un attestato in “Editing e revisione manoscritti” e un attestato in “Editing e copy editing, livello avanzato”, entrambi conseguiti presso Firstmaster. Ha inoltre frequentato corsi di scrittura creativa online e in presenza e ha curato diversi editing di testi di autori vari. Ha esordito in ambito letterario con il romanzo Il cowboy vanigliato. In seguito ha pubblicato la raccolta di racconti Smagliature e i romanzi Un cuore di latta e L’autunno dell’anno prima (nuova edizione Solfanelli, 2018). Sempre con Solfanelli/Tabula Fati ha pubblicato i gialli Bassa marea (2016), Il posto più freddo del mondo (2017) e Il solito niente (2019), il diario di viaggi Nuvole sul Mekong (2021) e il romanzo L’ora più dolce (2022), menzione d’onore al premio “Assosinderesi Awards 2023” e vincitore del premio “Narrativa indipendente” (2023). Ha curato la raccolta di racconti di viaggio AA.VV. Bagaglio a mano e partecipato all’antologia di racconti Non ti temo più, dedicata al tema del bullismo, e all’antologia di racconti gialli-noir Gotico Abruzzese (2023). Suoi racconti, finalisti o vincitori di concorsi letterari, sono presenti in antologie collettive. Luci a Saigon è il suo racconto d’esordio per Delos Digital.

Maena Delrio nasce a Lanusei il 24 novembre 1981. Nel 2000 consegue la maturità classica e si trasferisce a Tortolì, dove vive attualmente con il compagno e i tre figli. Nel 2013 vince il primo di tanti concorsi per racconti brevi al premio nazionale “Io Racconto” nella sezione “Il gusto della vita”, con Ginepri, che parla della sua Ogliastra. La terra d’origine sarà spesso protagonista delle sue storie. Nel 2018 pubblica una raccolta di racconti a quattro mani dal titolo Oltre il confine, edita dalla casa editrice Pentagora, insieme con l’amica di penna Mara Sordini. Gli impiccati non muoiono subito, NPS edizioni, è il suo primo romanzo, pubblicato a dicembre 2022. Attualmente sta lavorando al suo secondo romanzo, Il male minore, in libreria a partire da maggio 2024.
