A descriptive phenomenological inquiry approach applied to study the unique viewpoint of experience in an extracurricular leadership career program. Participants found the leadership program more challenging, primarily upon self-direction roles. They were also culturally concerned about the acceptance of online community networking. It was found that members needed constant referees such as the trainers for gaining expert support focusing on different needs. They were also culturally concerned about the acceptance of online community networking. It was found that members needed constant referees such as the trainers for gaining expert support focusing on different needs. However, this lengthy process did not result in a negative impact on their learning. There were commonalities of experiences among participants within the main themes, but there were also unique experiences and similarities among participants were compared and considered in the practical recommendation. Three significant changes are needed to refine the leadership learning program. Based on the discussion with participants, experiences included the need for providing orientation or guidelines to the program, dedicated training sessions to discuss cultural differences /awareness for online communication. Skills are the specific acquired abilities you need to perform a particular job well. There are many definitions of soft skills in literature. The first distinction between self-oriented/Intrapsychic and other guided/personal skills can be made. The first of them refers to what a person must understand and develop himself while the second category combines what a person can develop relevant with others. This distinction can also be made in terms of personal and social skills. Personal skills are mainly compatible with cognitive skills, such as knowledge and thinking skills while social skills refer to relationships with other people.Just to mention some, cognitive skill is the ability to develop information and the skill of thinking is the ability to exercise critical judgment. Examples of personal skills include the ability and desire to continue learning and the ability to plan and achieve goals. Key social skills in communication, listening, negotiation, networking, problem solving, decision-making and firmness can be identified (Engelberg, 2015). Soft skills give the solid and hard-core skills required to develop and keep up in changing circumstances. Soft skills are closely related to plastic, rational, and abilities, which have been placed in the frontal cortex, developed by Man in the past 50,000 years. Difficult skills allow a person to be what he is: engineer, physicist, philosopher. Soft skills operate in a direction separate from the role of the individual and go beyond the strict demands of the profession (Gracie, 2014).The meaning within the personality and personal competencies is well described in Figure 1 based on Daniel Goleman's research. Any individual is responsible for his actions, and this is based on different elements, each of them connected to others. The interaction between awareness and work with personal and personal competencies between characters, as the figure clearly shows (Kingsley, 2015).

Skills-Based Approach is a methodology centered on the development of a skill set over a career; it is a progression in four stages: planning, building, presenting, and validating. Each stage has proposed ways to achieve its objectives. The beauty of a skills-based approach is its simplicity and flexibility. It effectively handles the complex factors in career planning and development, such as changing career demands due to technology and demographics, rising education costs, and increasingly competitive employment market. A skill set represents your functional capabilities, essentially a list of skills with your level of expertise. Skill sets are searchable, standardized, interactive, and portable. Professional web services have adopted the use of skill sets and some have built sophisticated search engines based on them. This book guides you through planning a skill set to achieve career aspirations, learning and building an expertise with skills and how to respond to setbacks or opportunities, presenting skills on various platforms, and validating skills so you establish credibility with your intended audience. The objective of this book is to provide a framework that can be used throughout your career to increase your chances of success. Career planning is the key to finding happiness.

The development of generic skills (often referred to as ‘soft skills’) in accounting education has been a focus of discussion and debate for several decades. During this time employers and professional bodies have urged accounting educators to consider and develop curricula which provide for the development and assessment of these skills. In addition, there has been criticism of the quality of accounting graduates and their ability to operate effectively in a global economy. Embedding generic skills in the accounting curriculum has been acknowledged as an appropriate means of addressing the need to provide ‘knowledge professionals’ to meet the needs of a global business environment. Personal Transferable Skills in Accounting Education illustrates how generic skills are being embedded and evaluated in the accounting curriculum by academics from a range of perspectives. Each chapter provides an account of how the challenge of incorporating generic skills in the accounting curriculum within particular educational environments has been addressed. The challenges involved in generic skills development in higher education have not been limited to the accounting discipline. This book provides examples which potentially inform a wide range of discipline areas. Academics will benefit from reading the experiences of incorporating generic skills in the accounting curriculum from across the globe. This book was originally published as a themed issue of Accounting Education: an international journal.
