In Einrichtungen der stationaren Hilfe werden deutschlandweit tagtaglich ca. 100 Kinder und Jugendliche aufgenommen. Seine Worte machen deutlich, wie schwer es Menschen, zunächst ganz allgemein gesprochen, in unserer heutigen Gesellschaft fällt, über die eigenen Gefühle und Probleme zu sprechen; weinen oder Leid auszudrücken wird allzu oft als das Zeigen von Schwäche missgedeutet und lässt die Person in einer Gestalt erscheinen, die nicht in das Bild einer vermeintlichen perfekten Welt passt. Zu herrschen scheint das Ideal eines Menschen mit einem starken Charakter, der Probleme und Hürden des Lebens alleine bewältigen kann, ohne auf Hilfe von anderen angewiesen und abhängig zu sein. Die Menschen sollen im Sinne der Erwartungen und Anforderungen der heutigen Leistungs- und Disziplinargesellschaft wie Roboter funktionieren - unabhängig davon, welches Schicksal ihnen widerfahren ist. TraumapatientInnen müssen erst lernen, ihr Unglück auszusprechen und über das Erlebte zu berichten und es ist erlaubt und sogar erwünscht, dass sie Schwäche zeigen und die Gefühle offenlegen. Auch bei jüngeren Traumaopfern ist es weit verbreitet, dass diese selten von selbst über das traumatische Erlebnis sprechen, oft, weil sie den Menschen in ihrer Umgebung - v. a. D. den Eltern, Geschwistern und FreundInnen - nicht schaden und sie nicht belasten möchten und Einschüchterung und Scham zu groß sind. Doch oft, gerade wenn Kinder Zeuge von Traumatisierungen sind und z. B. Gewalt miterleben, wird von Außenstehenden nicht erkannt, wie beteiligt die Kinder hierbei sind, zugleich bekommen sie es verboten, über das Vorgefallene zu sprechen. Hierdurch entsteht dann oft die von Dan Bar-On so genannte ‘doppelte Mauer’ - Die Kinder können oder dürfen darüber nicht sprechen, zugleich will die Umwelt dies aber auch nicht hören.[...]
