Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2013 im Fachbereich Germanistik - Ältere Deutsche Literatur, Mediävistik, Note: 3,0, Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg (ÄdL), Veranstaltung: Tristan, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Liebesgeschichte zwischen „Tristan und Isolde“ ist der mit am häufigsten bearbeitete mittelalterliche Stoff der deutschen Literaturgeschichte. Die genaue Herkunft des Stoffes lässt sich nicht vollständig nachvollziehen. Man geht aber davon aus, dass hierbei auch keltische Einflüsse am wahrscheinlichsten sind. Die Gründe, die hierbei angeführt werden, sind die historischen und lokalen Begebenheiten. Die Tatsache dass es sich um den Stoff um eine „Spielmannsdichtung“ handelt wird in der Forschung als schwierig angesehen. Diese wurden zunächst mündlich tradiert. Durch diese Form der Überlieferung gelangte die Dichtung auf das europäische Festland, wobei sie vorerst in einer altfranzösischen Fassung festgehalten wurde. Diese Vorlage nutzte Eilhart von Oberg, um diesen Stoff in das Deutsche zu übernehmen. Man geht davon aus, dass Obergs Fassung Ende des 12. Jahrhunderts entstand. Neben Obergs Tristan Fassung erreichte vor allem Gottfrieds von Straßburg Tristan-Roman einen großen Bekanntheitsgrad und gilt noch in der heutigen Forschung als Gradmesser. Gottfrieds Tristan entstand vermutlich im 13. Jahrhundert, ist in Versform geschrieben und ist nur als Fragment erhalten geblieben. Er gilt als klassischer Stoffrepräsentant des Mittelalters. Zahlreiche Autoren des Mittelalters, aber auch der Neuzeit griffen den Tristanstoff erneut auf, um diesen zu interpretieren oder um Gottfrieds Fassung mit einem Ende zu versehen. Auch in der heutigen Zeit sind mittelalterliche Texte noch immer aktuell. So werden diese in literarischen Texten erneut aufgegriffen und neu inszeniert. Auch finden sich immer wieder Stoffe aus dem Mittelalter in unseren heutigen Filmen wieder. So wurde auch der Tristanstoff einige Male verfilmt. In dieser Arbeit soll ein kurzer Forschungsüberblick der Tristan-Rezeptionen gegeben und auch die Frage geklärt werden was Mittelalter-Rezeptionen in der heutigen Zeit noch immer interessant erscheinen lässt. Am Beispiel der neuesten Tristan Verfilmung soll untersucht werden, inwiefern sich diese an den Stoff von Gottfrieds von Straßburg Tristan anlehnen und wo diese Unterschiede aufweisen sowie welche Funktionen diese eventuell haben könnten. Im Anschluss soll hierbei ein Fazit entstehen, welches die Frage klären soll; warum mittelalterliche Stoffe noch immer ein aktuelles Thema sind und wie diese mit Hilfe der Originaltexte rezipiert werden.
