Gianpaolo Anderlini svela attraverso il suo saggio la sessualità celata nei testi sacri della tradizione ebraica e conduce una ricerca approfondita dei testi biblici che per la loro carica di passione potrebbero essere erroneamente attribuiti ad un poeta erotico. La Bibbia non è sessuofoba, dunque, nelle sue storie la sessualità è un tratto distintivo dell’uomo e della donna, un universo complesso di atteggiamenti, sentimenti e pulsioni che vanno al di là di ogni possibile normalizzazione. La forza travolgente e incontrollabile del desiderio muove le parole di Salomone anche nel celebre Cantico dei cantici. La lingua dei profeti è ricca di metafore sessuali, da Isaia, a Geremia, a Osea e, soprattutto, a Ezechiele. Il sesso è dunque un elementopositivo e tutto ciò che lo riguarda, in quanto connesso alla fonte della vita, sia nell’elemento maschile sia in quello femminile, è visto come necessario. E se è necessario, secondo il piano di Dio, l’uomo non può astenersene. La tradizione ebraica può, forse, essere considerata misogina, ma non è per nulla sessuofoba. Non invita all’astensione dal sesso, non idealizza la castità e il celibato: piuttosto lascia all’uomo e alla donna lo spazio per definire le modalità della loro intimità, secondo i modi e i tempi stabiliti dalla Halakà, la via giusta da percorrere. Gianpaolo Anderlini si occupa da oltre trent’anni di studi sull’ebraismo e di poesia. E’ docente di materie letterarie al liceo scientifico A.F. Formiggini di Sassuolo (MO) e redattore della rivista QOL che si occupa del dialogo Ebraico-Cristiano. Segue e coordina le attività delle scuole di lingua e cultura ebraica di Salvarano (RE). Perché questo è un libro sofferto. Come non potrebbe essere altrimenti. Non è un pamphlet né un instant book. Non è un diario. Non è una guida. Non è un viaggio e tanto meno un pellegrinaggio. Sono pensieri itineranti che seguono le orme di un cammino che non ha una meta. Passo dopo passo. Faticosamente. Non si sceglie di visitare i luoghi di questo libro, ma non si può non percorrerli.
