Sommaren 1988 arrangerade Scheike och kvinnorna ett ridläger för unga flickor på sin gård i Bergslagen. Tre flickor rymde och kunde berätta om sexuella övergrepp och förnedring. Fler offer trädde fram, unga kvinnor som fått utstå Scheikes beryktade smiskterapi redan vid mitten av 1970-talet. Scheike och tre av hans kvinnor dömdes till fängelse i en av Sveriges mest uppmärksammade rättegångar i modern tid. Det massmediala efterspelet gav eko som varade ända till början av 00-talet. Idag är Hans Scheike 89 år och lever med två kvinnor på samma gård som vid tiden för ridlägret. Kollektivet bedriver fortfarande sin smiskterapi och försörjer sig på att sälja smiskfilmer som de själva spelar in. Scheike och kvinnorna har kvar sin övertygelse om att det de gjorde var rätt och att de utsattes för ett rättsövergrepp. Med hjälp av förundersökningen och intervjuer med inblandade och experter lägger Magnus Utvik ett pussel som omfattar kollektivets liv, ideologi och övergrepp från 1974 fram till idag.
