Este libro coral es fruto del estudio y la discusión colegiada entre sus autores a lo largo de tres años. Se trata, a la vez, de un libro de crítica (literaria, audiovisual) y de teoría poética. Nuestro objeto de estudio es el universo ficcional de Patria (Aramburu, 2016; HBO España, 2020) y, al hilo de las necesidades de ese estudio particular, hemos revisado e inventado las categorías necesarias para una adecuada interpretación de las obras. Por ejemplo: utilizamos la noción de “mímesis de vigencias sociales” —entre ellas, la del silencio— para profundizar en el modo en que la serie y la novela nos permiten revivir y comprender la enrarecida atmósfera que se respiraba en el País Vasco durante los años del terrorismo. La recepción cultural de la inspiradora obra de Aramburu, las lecturas de la novela y de la serie televisiva y la reflexión teórica sobre los mundos posibles poéticos aparecen hermanados en estas páginas con dos objetivos: primero, contribuir a la gran conversación sobre el terrorismo de ETA; y segundo, aportar una metodología para explorar y aprovechar el valor especulativo y práctico, las posibilidades de reflexión ética y social, de los mundos posibles poéticos.
