Przygody z pozoru błahej, a jednak, jak to teraz zrozumiała, niezwykle dla niej ważnej. Przygody, o której po powrocie do hotelu chciała jak najprędzej zapomnieć, a o której przez cały rok zapomnieć nie potrafiła. I wspomina pracę nad filmem, odkrywając że dzięki tej przygodzie okazała się ona czymś dalece innym, niż to, czym być miała. Ale nie tylko tym zaprząta tam sobie uwagę. Siedząc w wygodnym fotelu, Wendy zastanawia się nad miłością, która tak nagle i niespodziewanie pojawiła się wtedy w jej sercu – początkowo sądziła, że jeszcze tamtej pierwszej nocy zniknie ona bez śladu, a tutaj uświadomiła sobie, że w rzeczywistości nie przestawała o niej myśleć przez wszystkie dni minionych dwunastu miesięcy. A gdy seans się kończy… W pierwszym tomie towarzyszyliśmy Wendy przez jeden dzień, w tym przeżyjemy z nią kilka tygodni, obserwując jej zmagania z emocjami władającymi nią od tamtego dnia oraz wysiłki mające przywrócić w niej utracony wtedy spokój ducha. Razem z bohaterką powspominamy jej pobyty w Szkocji, w Australii i w alpejskim kurorcie, potem wpadniemy na dzień do Warszawy oraz na trochę dłużej do Cannes, a w końcu spędzimy z nią parę gorących dni na tropikalnej wyspie. Przyjrzymy się jej rozterkom, obawom i nadziejom, oraz decyzjom, jakie w każdym z tych miejsc podejmowała. Poznamy też bliżej osoby dla niej ważne, a także przyczyny i przebieg zdarzeń, bez których nie stałoby się to, co się stało. Lecz przede wszystkim będziemy razem z nią badać, jak miłość do Toma potrafiła oddziaływać na jej życie i na nią samą. Oraz dowiemy się, czym dla Wendy miała być, a czym w rzeczywistości okazała się jej METODA.
