Per Gregorio Nazianzeno Dio è un Dio che parla, è la conversazione tra le persone divine. Da questa parola che gli viene rivolta l'uomo è creato. Nicolaj Berdiaev, riprendendo questa visione la spinge fino a dire che l'uomo è creato perché è chiamato, fa precedere la vocazione alla persona. In principio c'è Dio Padre che chiama, che rivolge la parola e porta all'esistenza la persona. La più profonda realtà dell'uomo, la sua vera identità è il dialogo, la conversazione. Lì si compie e si rivela, svelandosi, l'identità dell'uomo. La parola che Dio pronuncia creando l'uomo è una parola nella quale Dio comunica sé stesso e perciò contiene la realtà che di fatto appartiene solo a Dio. È nell'abisso di questo incontro che si muove la poesia di don Vanio. La sua parola si scatena, sfiora la terra, si deposita sulla pietra, racconta l'amore, si lascia bagnare dalle lacrime del deserto, pellegrinaggio solitario e silenzioso per giungere, alla fine, a dare al creato, al cosmo il suo abito di luce, vestito Dall'introduzione di P. L'intento di questo nuovo cammino sarà quello di cercare i baci del cielo sulla terra. Sono i baci di Dio sulla carne del mondo e su quella dell'uomo. Vuole essere un tentativo per esercitarci a togliere la cattiveria, la violenza e qualsiasi tipo di ombra che potrebbero albergare nei nostri cuori. Quando il cielo baciò la terra nacque la vita, la foglia che germoglia e fa ombra quando la luce è troppo abbagliante e, poi, nutre, cade e feconda la terra. Quando il cielo baciò la terra i testimoni del vangelo emergono dalle ombre e non smettono di guardare oltre, di andare altrove e di baciare e baciare e baciare con quello stesso bacio affinché nessuno si perda. Che queste pagine ci aiutino a fare l'esperienza di essere accolti, gustati, amati e donati per annunciare a noi stessi che è possibile essere baciati da Dio e baciare Dio e baciare come Dio. Il pavimento di questo cammino sta nella consapevolezza che Dio bacia sempre. Egli bacia con la parola, con il soffio, con il respiro, con la vita, con il suo passo leggero, con la morte, con la risurrezione. Noi possiamo imparare a baciare con baci che hanno il sapore della bellezza, della salvezza. Possiamo imparare a dare i baci stessi di Dio. Questa è la sfida.
