Ukrajinsko-slovenski slovar in njegova obrnjena slovensko-ukrajinska verzija, ki ju je sestavil Vladimir Dumka, obsegata 24.352 ukrajinskih in 22.515 slovenskih iztočnic. Redakcijo ukrajinskih slovarskih iztočnic je opravila ukrajinska kolegica doc. dr. Liudmyla Danylenko iz Inštituta za jezikoslovje O. O. Potebnje Nacionalne akademije znanosti Ukrajine, redakcijo slovenskih prevedkov in sploh slovenskega besedja pa dr. Silvo Torkar iz Inštituta za slovenski jezik Frana Ramovša ZRC SAZU. Slovar je z vidika ustreznosti prevedkov pregledala še stalna sodna tolmačka Natalija Glažar Berčič. Ukrajinski del slovarja se pretežno opira na enajstzvezkovni razlagalni slovar ukrajinskega jezika Словник української мови (1970–1981), slovenski pa na Slovar slovenskega knjižnega jezika (1970–1991) in Slovenski pravopis (2001). Slovar je namenjen tako Slovencem, ki potujejo v Ukrajino in se želijo seznaniti z ukrajinščino, kot tudi vsem tistim iz Ukrajine, ki prihajajo v Slovenijo kot delavci ali sicer želijo spoznati slovenski jezik. Knjiga je prispevek k pristnejšim stikom med dvema narodoma in njunima kulturama.
