The weight watchers diet was pioneered by Jean Nidetch in the early 1960s. She used to be a housewife and this made her gain excess weight which became an inconvenience to her. When you join Weight Watchers, you are given the Smart Points to consume daily and accommodate weekly allowances in your dieting depending on your gender, weight, age and height.
