Seminar paper from the year 2009 in the subject Business economics - Investment and Finance, grade: 55%, Nottingham Trent University, language: English, abstract: This report critically evaluates Deutsche Banks' (DB) international strategy and business environment, concentrating on DB's universal bank strategy inside the European region. DB's international business environment is analysed through the application of PEST Analysis and Porters 5 Forces frameworks. Analysis of DB's international strategy includes evaluation of DB's strategic positioning and orientation, entry strategy and finally measuring strategic performance. The latter is achieved by applying the Balance Scorecard Concept together with the features of SWOT Analysis, finally resulting in several recommendations for improvement of DB's international operations. The applied business theories and concepts are critically examined in the course of their adoption. The major finding of the report is that although the highly competitive industrial environment and global financial crisis, DB's strategic management has: achieved good results in positioning DB as a leader in universal banking in Europe as well as around the world; low efficiency and low profitability relative to its main competitors; suffered high share value losses due to the financial crisis as well as its own failures in risk management, but remained stable and credible backed by its strong global franchise. Given that, DB has a strong potential to learn from the crisis, improve its former failures and come out stronger from this crisis.

This book is novel in its focus on how sexual orientation intersects with other aspects of difference such as age, class, ethnicity and disability. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become an increasingly important topic in our global society. Corporate Social Responsibility Across Europe is the first volume of its kind to bring together twenty-three national perspectives on this issue. Thirty-seven European researchers worked on the book, which provides a comprehensive and structured survey of CSR developments and progress at national levels. An overview and analysis is provided for each country. Topics addressed include business and societal mindsets in the different cultural settings, national drivers for the current development of CSR, and prospects for the individual countries in the future. Furthermore it contains three comprehensive pan-European analyses. The chapters also contain practical information and references to the Internet as well as relevant literature in order to support further research and stimulate business activities in this field. The result is a rather unique collection of essays on the topic of CSR across Europe.

Uncluttered Management Thinking written by Fredmund Malik and has been published by Campus Verlag this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011-03-07 with Business & Economics categories.

Clear language is always also an instrument of clear thinking. By the same token, the clearest sign of wrong thinking - and thus, ultimately, wrong management - is language that lacks clarity. The use of carelessly defined terms can do a lot of damage; the wrong use of certain terms can lead to wrong, sometimes even risky management actions and wrong management decisions. Fredmund Malik points out the psychological, management, and economic errors managers tend to make, and explains how these errors can be avoided; for clear language is a key to right and good management. "Fredmund Malik is the leading expert in the field of management in Europe. He is the most important voice - in theory and practice of management." Peter Drucker "Malik demonstrates how, in extreme cases, the wrong use of fashionable terms can even lead to entrepreneurial disaster." Wirtschaft & Markt "Malik is listened to because management knowledge has never been more important. (...) Malik incessantly cautions against the money-mindedness at those corporations where ›stock speculators, boasters, bluffers, and sometimes even criminals‹ call the shots." Süddeutsche Zeitung
