In der vorliegenden Studie wird das Forschungswerkzeug von Pierre Bourdieu mit aktuellen geschlechtertheoretischen Begriffen systematisch in Beziehung gesetzt und in der Analyse qualitativer Interviews mit Mädchen empirisch erprobt. Im Mittelpunkt steht die Rekonstruktion der geschlechtsbezogenen Selbstverständlichkeiten eines Jugendverbandes, der Deutschen Pfadfinderschaft Sankt Georg. Es werden die Positionierungen der Akteurinnen und Akteure im Verband näher bestimmt und ihre Strategien der Dramatisierung, Entdramatisierung und Neutralisierung von Geschlecht aufgezeigt. Dabei zeigt sich: Verbands- und Geschlechtszugehörigkeit stehen in einem umstrittenen Wechselverhältnis. Durch die eingenommene Perspektive wird nicht nur in begrifflicher Hinsicht Neuland betreten, sondern auch die Position von Mädchen in der Jugendverbandsarbeit neu bestimmt.

Romanticism in all its expression communicated a vision of the essential interconnectedness and harmony of the universe.
