Unfolding Creativity written by John Howlett and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-10-28 with Education categories.

This book presents a selection of case studies of pioneers in arts education who were working in the United Kingdom in the period 1890 to 1950. Focusing on music, drama, and visual arts and crafts, the editors and contributors examine the impact these individuals had on developing innovative approaches to these subject areas and how they drew on perspectives that emphasised the need for children’s self-expression. The chapters offer an analysis of the pioneers’ beliefs and values, with a particular emphasis on their ideological positions about identity, nation, and what constituted ‘good taste’. The book further examines how their ideas were disseminated, in so doing interrogating the concept of ‘influence’ in educational theory and practice.

In her previous books, Oriah Mountain Dreamer has challenged readers to live with passion and honesty, to embrace the true, fallible, human self. What We Ache For is a moving and eloquent call to delve deeply into our creative selves, to do our creative work, and offer it to the world. The creative process is essential to human nature. It is as essential as spirituality and sexuality, and in fact all three are deeply intertwined. What We Ache For is a practical book allowing readers to embrace the urgency and necessity of their creativity, whatever their medium -- writing, painting, sculpture, dance, music, or film. As Oriah says, "Doing creative work allows us to follow the thread of what we ache for into a deeper life, offering us a way to cultivate a life of making love to the world." Following Oriah through this journey in such chapters as "The Seduction of the Artist," "Learning to See," and "Risk and Sacrifice," What We Ache For challenges and inspires readers to fully embrace their artistic selves as a way of forging a path of spiritual unfolding.

Unfolding Meaning written by David Bohm and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2006-11-22 with Philosophy categories.

First published in 1987. In Unfolding Meaning, the author, one of the most provocative and original thinkers of our time, argues that there are other ways of thinking to bring about a different, more harmonious reality. Our fragmented, mechanistic notion of order derives from the modem conception that our earth is only part, not - as it was with the Greeks - the centre, of the immense universe of material bodies. The implications of this idea permeate modem science and technology today and also our general attitude to life.
