Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2005 im Fachbereich Politik - Sonstige Themen, Note: 2,0, Universität Wien (Institut für Politikwissenschaft), Veranstaltung: Im Rahmen des politikwissenschaftlichen Forschungspraktikums "Sport, Nationalismus und Männlichkeit", Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Da sich diese Arbeit nicht vornehmlich mit dem aktiven Wettkampfgeschehen im Sinne der nicht passiven Definition von Sport als „persönliches Aktivsein in Bewegung“ (Niedermann zit. n. Jungmeier 1998, S. 42) auseinandersetzt, soll - wie bereits im Erkenntnisinteresse dargestellt - etwas genauer auf das oft als passiv definierte und konsumierende Publikum eingegangen werden. Zu Beginn meiner noch folgenden Ausführungen zum ausgewählten Fallbeispiel des ZuschauerInnensports im Fußball, soll daher methodisch voran gestellt werden, dass einleitend mit einer kurzen, historisch genetisch geführten Darstellung der Genese des Fußballsports, die Entwicklung zum Massenevent verdeutlicht werden soll. Erst dieser Einstieg ermöglicht eine Annäherung und ein diesbezügliches Vorverständnis, das wiederum notwendig erscheint, wenn im Zuge dessen, Merkmale bezüglich verschiedenster Ursachen, Motive und letztendlicher Intentions- und Funktionsbereiche des ZuschauerInnensports zu reflektieren sind. Weiters ist die Erörterung der obig angeführten These samt Beantwortung der Forschungsfragen in methodischer Hinsicht nicht nur auf eine makroanalytische Ebene fixiert, sondern soll gleichsam auch auf einer Mikroebene zum Ausdruck kommen. Das heißt weiter ausführend, dass die sozial komplex kontrastierten Bereiche des ZuschauerInnensports nicht nur von außen als Sozialsystem (Stichwort: Makroebene) untersucht werden dürfen, sondern dass es zum Verständnis dessen, auch vielmehr auf eine gezielte, auf das Individuum bezogene Untersuchungsebene ankommt (Stichwort: Mikroebene). Infolgedessen spielen Identifikations- und Identitätskonstruktionen von Fans eine wesentliche Rolle, da diese in Summe letzten Endes das eigentlich zu untersuchende Publikum ausmachen. Außerdem ist die methodische Herangehensweise vor allem aber auf eine Kombination aus akteurstheoretisch und empirisch-analytisch geführten Analysen angelegt. In diesem Kontext wurden gezielte Literaturrecherchen und Textanalysen im Bereich der Sportsoziologie undpsychologie durchgeführt, um herausstellen zu können, inwiefern die Sportpublika auf individueller und gemeinschaftlich-sozialer Ebene, folglich Mikro- und Makroebene, im Rahmen des Stadions als ein Raum von (Gruppen-) Dynamisierung und (Gruppen-) Identitätsbildung, beeinflussbar ist und ob eine diesbezüglich, wissenschaftlich geführte Interpretation im säkular-religiösen Kontext weiterführend standhält.

This text is aimed at people who have some familiarity with high-resolution NMR and who wish to deepen their understanding of how NMR experiments actually ‘work’. This revised and updated edition takes the same approach as the highly-acclaimed first edition. The text concentrates on the description of commonly-used experiments and explains in detail the theory behind how such experiments work. The quantum mechanical tools needed to analyse pulse sequences are introduced set by step, but the approach is relatively informal with the emphasis on obtaining a good understanding of how the experiments actually work. The use of two-colour printing and a new larger format improves the readability of the text. In addition, a number of new topics have been introduced: How product operators can be extended to describe experiments in AX2 and AX3 spin systems, thus making it possible to discuss the important APT, INEPT and DEPT experiments often used in carbon-13 NMR. Spin system analysis i.e. how shifts and couplings can be extracted from strongly-coupled (second-order) spectra. How the presence of chemically equivalent spins leads to spectral features which are somewhat unusual and possibly misleading, even at high magnetic fields. A discussion of chemical exchange effects has been introduced in order to help with the explanation of transverse relaxation. The double-quantum spectroscopy of a three-spin system is now considered in more detail. This is the second time that I have had the honor of opening an interna tional symposium dedicated to the functions of the hippocampus here in Pecs. It was a pleasure to greet the participants in the hope that their valuable contributions will make this meeting a tradition in this town. As one of the hosts of the symposium, I had the sorrowful duty to remind you of the absence of a dear colleague, Professor Graham God dard. His tragic and untimely death represents the irreparable loss of both a friend and an excellent researcher. This symposium is dedicated to his memory. If I compare the topics of the lectures of this symposium with those of the previous one, a striking difference becomes apparent. A dominating tendency of the previous symposium was to attempt to define hippocam pal function or to offer data relevant to supporting or rejecting existing theoretical positions. No such tendency is reflected in the titles of the present symposium, in which most of the contributions deal with hip pocampal phenomena at the most elementary level. Electrical, biochemi cal, biophysical, and pharmacological events at the synaptic, membrane, or intracellular level are analyzed without raising the question of what kind of integral functions these elementary phenomena are a part of.
