J. 1843 erschìeneoen Theile vollstìndig dugelegt, und auch bei der Bearbeitung des gegemòìrtìgen Theiles festgehalten' worden... Die verspiitete Erscheinung desselben wird nur den befremden, welcher die Schwierigkeit einer solchen Arbeit nicht zu ermessen im Standa, und dem es un bekannt ist, dass die Benrbeiter keineswegs in der Lage waren, dcr F6rderung des Unternehmens sich ansschlìesglich widmen zu kònneo, vielmehr, ohne Ausnahme durch ihre Berufsgeschfifte stark in Anspruch genommen, diese Arbeit in die leider nur zu oft beschrìnlcten M...tundcn verweisen mussten. Dass gleichvmhl ein Nachtrag zu den chronologisch geordneten Urkunden gegeben worden ist, wîìrde allerdings theilweise haben vermieden werden kìînnen, wenn die Bearbeiter das stìdtìsche Archiv als ein vollstìndig durchforschtes und geordnetes vorgefunden hitteu. Dem ist aber nicht so; denn wenn gleich allerdings die Privilegien und andere Wichtige Urkunden, welche mehr nls nur historischen Werth haben, schon lange geordnet nod verzeichnet sind, so gilt dns Gleiche doch nicht von einer Masse anderer Urkunden und Anfzeìch noogen, welche vielmehr, in den weiten Mumm und den vielen Actea der Registratur hic und da zerstreuet und versteckt, ihre Entdeckung oft nur einem glùclclichen Zufolle und dem Umsiande zu danken hatten, dass ein mehrmaliger Wechsel in der Person des Archinrs eine wiederholte genauere Durchi'orschung des Vorhandenen veranlasste.
