Le parole del dialetto e dell’italiano di Roma I dialetti, come le lingue, sono in continua evoluzione, in particolare per quanto riguarda il lessico, sottoposto da un lato all’influsso della lingua nazionale e soggetto dall’altro al rinnovamento promosso dalle giovani generazioni. Il Vocabolario del romanesco contemporaneo intende offrire una fotografia, il più possibile rappresentativa, del lessico del dialetto e dell’italiano regionale romano, così come si è venuto assestando nel corso del Novecento e nei primi decenni del Duemila. Fondato su basi rigorosamente scientifiche, presenta un insieme attentamente bilanciato tra le parole provenienti dalla tradizione (sopravvissute fino a oggi) e le parole nuove, ricavate in buona parte dal linguaggio giovanile, ma anche dai lessici specialistici e dai gerghi contemporanei. Il Vocabolario del romanesco contemporaneo è rivolto tanto agli specialisti del settore quanto agli appassionati del dialetto di Roma e costituisce un repertorio ricco, aggiornato e di facile consultazione. Nella ricorrenza del quarantennale della morte di Pier Paolo Pasolini abbiamo ritenuto necessario riportare al centro del dibattito culturale la questione del rapporto tra lettura critica e opera pasoliniana. Der Fürstabt des Klosters St.Gallen, Celestino Sfondrati, wurde am 12. Dezember 1695 von Papst Innozenz XII. zum Kardinal erhoben. Einen Monat später reiste der aus einem italienischen Adelsgeschlecht stammende Benediktiner über die Residenzen seiner Familie am Comer See und in Mailand möglichst inkognito nach Rom. Der Papst nahm den neuen Purpurträger freundlich auf und berief ihn alsbald in sieben Kardinalskongregationen. Doch verschlechterte sich der Gesundheitszustand des Kardinals rasch und er starb bereits am 4. September 1696. Sein Grab fand er in seiner Titelkirche Santa Cecilia in Trastevere. Sein Herz hingegen wurde in sein Heimatkloster übertragen und in der Klosterkirche beigesetzt. Berichte seines Privatsekretärs und seines Kammerdieners sowie zahlreiche Briefe und Rechnungen vermitteln erstmals eine Nahaufnahme der Mobilität hoher Geistlichkeit und der römischen Gesellschaft in der Barockzeit.

The Deonomasticon Italicum provides a systematic historical treatment of, and commentary on, the lexemes of Italian derived from proper names.
