Sobre a autora Badi Assad canta, toca violão e transforma seu próprio corpo em música... e tudo ao mesmo tempo! Ela se divide entre o Brasil e Estados Unidos, de onde parte para apresentações ao redor do globo. Nascida no interior de São Paulo, vem de uma família musical. Seus irmãos formam o Duo Assad, um dos mais prestigiados e premiados duos de violão do mundo. Seguindo seus passos, Badi aos 14 anos começou também a tocar. Com apenas 15, já colecionava prêmios de melhor violonista em concursos internacionais, e aos 19 fez sua primeira excursão ao exterior. Com vários discos lançados, em 2006 wonderland entrou na lista dos 100 melhores pela BBC de Londres; em 2012, amor e outras manias crônicas lhe rendeu o prêmio de melhor compositora pela APCA (SP), ano em que foi listada pela Rolling Stone entre os 70 mestres violonistas brasileiros da História; em 2014, cantos de casa, primeiro trabalho dedicado ao público infantil, recebeu o Troféu Cata-Vento (Fundação Padre Anchieta) e sua canção Pega no coco ganhou o 1o lugar no USA International Songwriting Competition, na categoria world music; em 2017, o documentário BADI, sobre sua vida, recebeu o prêmio de melhor filme no FestCine Maracanaú (CE).
