Inhaltsangabe:Gang der Untersuchung: Zuerst werden in Kapitel 2 die Begriffe Vorgehensmodell, betriebliche Informationssysteme und WWW-Informationssysteme erklärt. Außerdem werden Entwicklungsschemata des Softwareengineering für Vorgehensmodelle vorgestellt und Unterschiede zwischen WWW-Informationssystemen und betrieblichen Informationssystemen bzw. der Softwareentwicklung dargestellt. In Kapitel 3 werden als erstes die Probleme vorgestellt, die häufig im Zusammenhang mit der Entwicklung von WWW-Informationssystemen auftreten. Außerdem sollen die Anforderungen genannt werden, die aufgrund der Probleme an ein Vorgehensmodell für die Entwicklung von WWW-Informationssystemen gestellt werden. Danach werden Vorgehensmodelle für die Entwicklung von WWW-Informationssystemen oder aus benachbarten Gebieten dargestellt und unter Berücksichtigung der Anforderungen und Probleme bewertet. Am Ende von Kapitel 3 wird beschrieben, welche Elemente der Vorgehensmodelle und Entwicklungsschemata in das Vorgehensmodell für die Entwicklung von WWW-Informationssystemen (VEWIS) eingeflossen sind. Das VEWIS wird dann ausführlich in Kapitel 4 erklärt und die einzelnen Phasen des Vorgehensmodell beschrieben. Dabei werden die durchzuführenden Aktivitäten, die zu erbringenden Ergebnisse, einzusetzenden Methoden und Werkzeuge erläutert. Zum Schluß wird in Kapitel 5 das Ergebnis kurz zusammengefaßt und ein Ausblick auf die weitere mögliche Entwicklung des Vorgehensmodells gegeben. Die Agilität, also Schnelligkeit bei der Adaption von Geschäftsprozessen kennzeichnet ein erfolgreiches Unternehmen. Dabei ist die Anpassungsfähigkeit der eingesetzten Informationssysteme ein kritischer Erfolgsfaktor. Hierbei ist vor allem die IT gefragt, der eine tragende Rolle bei der Entwicklung von Informationssystemen und der Ausführung von Geschäftsprozessen zukommt. Geschäftsprozessanalyse und -modellierung sind wesentliche Bestandteile bei der Entwicklung und Einführung von Software für bzw. in Unternehmen. Geschäftsprozesse sind somit sowohl Ausgangspunkt als auch Ziel der Systementwicklung. Ihre Integration in Vorgehensmodellen der Systementwicklung und Software-Architekturmodellen ist eine Herausforderung der wirtschaftlichen Praxis an die Wirtschaftsinformatik. Das wesentliche Ziel dieser Arbeit ist die Entwicklung eines Vorgehensmodells, das die regelbasierte Modellierung von Geschäftsprozessen und die Entwicklung regelbasierter Informationssysteme ermöglicht. Dabei müssen die Mitarbeiter der Fachabteilungen und der IT intensiver zusammenarbeiten, um Missverständnisse zu vermeiden. Zu diesem Zweck ist eine Notation erforderlich, die einerseits leicht erlernbar ist und andererseits den gesamten Entwicklungsprozess unterstützt. Zur Unterstützung der Geschäftsprozesse werden aus den Prozessmodellen regelbasierte Informationssysteme entwickelt, deren Geschäftslogik von den Fachabteilungen eigenständig verwaltet werden soll.

While previously available methodologies for software – like those published in the early days of object technology – claimed to be appropriate for every conceivable project, situational method engineering (SME) acknowledges that most projects typically have individual characteristics and situations. Thus, finding the most effective methodology for a particular project needs specific tailoring to that situation. Such a tailored software development methodology needs to take into account all the bits and pieces needed for an organization to develop software, including the software process, the input and output work products, the people involved, the languages used to describe requirements, design, code, and eventually also measures of success or failure. The authors have structured the book into three parts. Part I deals with all the basic concepts, terminology and overall ideas underpinning situational method engineering. As a summary of this part, they present a formal meta-model that enables readers to create their own quality methods and supporting tools. Durch den Einsatz von Referenzmodellen werden sich in Wirtschaft, Verwaltung und Wissenschaft im Allgemeinen positive Wirkungen erhofft, wie bspw. eine gesteigerte Produktivitat oder ein Wissenserwerb fur die Unternehmung in Form von Common-practice bzw. Best-practice und ein damit einhergehender Gewinn an strategischen Wettbewerbsvorteilen. Interessanterweise konnen jedoch aktuelle empirische Studien genau diese Wirkungen von Referenzmodellen nicht belegen. Ein Grund dafur wird in den noch defizitaren Hilfsmitteln zur Konstruktion und Verwendung von Referenzmodellen gesehen, die die positiven Effekte neutralisieren oder in das Gegenteil verkehren. Die vorliegende Arbeit setzt hier an und untersucht, inwieweit sich die Technik des Modell-Konfigurationsmanagements, durch die sich ein positiver Einfluss auf die Qualitat der verwalteten Modelle und damit ein positiver Einfluss auf die Produktivitat von ein Modell-Konfigurationsmanagement nutzenden Projekten versprochen wird, als Hilfsmittel fur die Weiterentwicklung von Modellen im Rahmen der Referenzmodellierung nutzen lasst. Das Ergebnis der Arbeit ist dabei aufgrund des Forschungsstandes im Gebiet der Referenzmodellierungsforschung nicht nur in der Evaluation der Technik des Modell-Konfigurationsmanagements zu sehen, sondern auch - in der Entwicklung einer Methode zur Konzeption von Forschungsdesigns in der konzeptuellen Modellierungsforschung, - der Scharfung des Begriffes `Referenzmodell` durch Differenzierung von analytischer und operationaler Definition des Begriffes `Referenzmodell` in Analogie zur entsprechenden und anerkannten Differenzierung des Begriffes `Metamodell` sowie - dem Entwurf einer Theorie der Referenzmodellierung, die die vielfaltigen Ursache-Wirkungs-Zusammenhange expliziert, die positiv oder negativ auf den Einsatz von Referenzmodellen wirken.
