E-voting is the use of electronic means in the casting of the vote at political elections or referendums. This book provides an overview of e-voting related case-law worldwide and explains how judicial decisions impact e-voting development. With contributions by renowned experts on thirteen countries, the authors discuss e-voting both from controlled environments, such as voting machines in polling stations, and uncontrolled ones, including internet voting. El proceso civil se encuentra frente a una muy interesante encrucijada, ante él se abren dos caminos. La vida cotidiana está enclavada en un mundo donde lo electrónico adquiere cada vez más presencia. Esta realidad es fuente incesante de nuevos desafíos. Los abogados que diariamente trabajan en la búsqueda de la mejor solución para el litigio que tiene a su cliente como protagonista, a las dificultades propias del arte de abogar, debe ahora (y ya desde hace bastante tiempo) sumar las dificultades del arte de abogar digitalmente. El derecho procesal electrónico constituye un nuevo formato, una nueva dimensión de la actividad desarrollada ante y por los tribunales. En la presente obra se analizarán distintos temas vinculados al derecho procesal electrónico, como ser la prueba electrónica (domicilio, notificaciones, presentaciones, oficios y comunicaciones electrónicas) en el marco de los procesos judiciales; audiencias remotas; estrategia probatoria electrónica prejudicial; gestión y accesibilidad de la información en los expedientes digitales; formación del abogado, requerimientos tecnológicos del estudio jurídico; y principios del derecho procesal electrónico.
