Women often pack their lives with family, friends, and faithful service, yet still end up feeling empty and unfulfilled. In Walk It Out, Tricia Goyer demonstrates to women that walking out the mandates of Scripture allows God to spark passion and mission within them. Whether believers realize it or not, God intended for them to do what the Bible says: adopt the orphan, take the gospel into all the world, and care for the needy. These are mandates that point believers down the path of true living and eternal life. Sometimes those steps are easy, but many times they require a move outside of what feels safe or secure. When women stop focusing on their own dreams and purposes, and instead focus on God’s dreams and purposes, everything changes.

What does it mean to walk in the Spirit? That is a concept that many people, even Christians, don’t really understand. Part 1 of Walking Out Walking In the Spirit is a testimony of how the authors experienced God working in and through them in their own lives. Reading this book will put the reader in a place of understanding how the presence of God in our lives can manifest in us for the blessing of others. We have the awesome privilege of carrying the presence of God in us through the Holy Spirit. The reader will become aware of how important mission is as an avenue to reach others. They will gain insight into what an awesome God can do. He can manifest Himself at any time and any place. The authors give examples of how that played out in their own lives. Part 2 shows the importance of speaking and declaring the Word of God. Just as God created the world by His spoken word, when we speak in the power of the Holy Spirit, our words are spirit, and they are life. The spoken word has the power to do the miraculous.

Charles Spurgeon once said that just as every road in England leads to London, so every text in Scripture contains a path to Christ. But there's still a chance of going the wrong way, blazing misleading trails where none previously existed. How can we be sure that we're reading our road map correctly? Dennis Johnson shows us that there are established routes we can trust. Guiding us along the network of trails in the Old and New Testaments, he points to the signs and markers that help us to identify roads to Christ. He surveys the Bible's sweeping story that makes up the lay of the land and explores different landmarks-the central motifs in Scripture that give us our bearings as we seek out Jesus. Our sermons, Bible studies, and personal devotions will be transformed as we navigate Scripture in light of its central purpose: to draw us in faith and love to our Prophet, Priest, and King. My book, Walking Out of Poverty, has been a long time in writing. As you read my story, you will understand my objectives. I was born out of American slavery. I have been down in the valley for a long time, but today I am on the mountaintop. I have completed my book. My book tells stories of my learned knowledge, my thoughts, and my trying and experiences in life. This was a God-given task from the start. I wanted to share my valuable lessons learned in life with others. I want them to be beneficial to others. I went back to school and got my bachelor’s degree in theology. I learned of a new walk of life. For we have many godly promises and the gift of salvation. We have a divine right to the riches of life. We have a right to be on the other side of poverty. We can have the things that we need or want. We must learn how to accomplish our objectives. Then we will reach a level of success and fulfillment.

Walk with me, find the extraordinary in your ordinary, first alone with God and then perhaps with another as you feel led to share your walk with Jesus using these moments as springboards for conversation.A special word for seekers and believers: Come as you are! You do not have to wait to straighten out your life before you come to Jesus. You do not have to give up any sins or habits before you come to Jesus. American evangelist Billy Graham reminded us, "The blind man came just as he was. The leper came just as he was. The thief on the cross came just as he was. You can come to Christ right now wherever you are and just as you are." If you are trying to work your way into heaven, stop. If you are trying to earn your way into heaven, stop. If you are trying to be good enough to get into heaven, stop. Salvation is simple. All you must do is call upon the name of the Lord. Romans 10:9, "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved." Jesus said, "I am the way the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:6).As you walk with Jesus this year, ponder the Lord's presence on your path day by day, I send you along with joy and this blessing from Numbers 6:24-26: May the Lord bless you, and keep you. May the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord lift up His countenance on you, and give you peace.
