Wer erhebt Einspruch und wogegen? Wie positionieren sich filmische Welten als performative Akte in der Welt? Ihre Teilnahme an öffentlichen Diskursen wird ausgehend vom Filme-Sehen als einer Ko-Produktion untersucht und in ihrer Geschichtlichkeit diskutiert. Positionen, so zeigt der Band mithilfe digitaler Methoden, ergeben sich erst durch die Adressierung in einer rhetorischen Situation. Die kulturelle Praxis der Rhetorik meint hier denn auch keine verzierende Form oder intendierte Botschaft, vielmehr geht es um das Herstellen von Perspektiven. Das Buch vollzieht damit selbst einen Perspektivwechsel in der Analyse und Kritik audiovisueller Rhetorik.
