[...] Entsprechend sollten sich Lehrer verstärkt als Lernberater und Lernhelfer verstehen. [...] Ohne entsprechend engagierte und qualifizierte Lehrer werden sich derartige Reformvorstellungen in Schulen nicht umsetzen lassen.“ (Mutzeck 2009, S. 12) Es ist weit bekannt, dass in den Schulen die Gewalt unter Schülern steigt und auch viele Schüler ihre Lehrer viel mehr als Gegner und nicht als Verbündete ansehen. All dies spricht nicht für eine Atmosphäre des Vertrauens und der Offenheit. Um dementsprechend die Schulen zu reformieren, müssen auch die Lehrer lernen, wie sie am Besten mit den alltäglichen Situationen in den Schulen umgehen. Somit kommt die „Kollegiale Fallberatung“ als neue Methode in das Schulsystem. Dr. Dirk Kutting, ein Pfarrer und Religionslehrer, der sich auf Schulseelsorge und systemisch-lösungsorientierte Beratung spezialisiert, meint, dass viele Lehrer noch nicht wissen, dass die persönlichen und fachlichen Ressourcen der Kollegen für die Verbesserung eigener Professionalität dienen können. Er erläutert, dass Lehrer nicht beratungsresistent sind, sondern sich gegenseitig unterstützen und helfen können. In dieser Arbeit wird dementsprechend untersucht, ob und inwieweit die Kollegiale Fallberatung einen Nutzen für die Schulentwicklung hat. Erstmals wird geklärt, wie sich die Schule entwickelt hat und welche Zielvorstellungen es als Reformationen an das Schulsystem gab. Danach werden die zentralen Grundlagen der Kollegialen Fallberatung dargelegt: was die Kollegiale Fallberatung genau ist, wie sie funktioniert und aufgebaut ist, und welche ihre konkreten Ziele sind. Anschließend wird dann die Kollegiale Fallberatung in der Schule untersucht, welche Anwendung diese hat und welcher genaue Nutzen daraus folgt. Gezielt wird darauf geachtet, welchen Einfluss die Kollegiale Fallberatung auf Lehrer und Schüler hat und wie diese die Atmosphäre in der Schule beeinflusst. Abschließend folgt dann eine Schlussfolgerung, welche die wichtigsten Aspekte und Befunde nochmal aufgreift.
