There has been an explosion of non-duality dialog on our planet. Even so, the direct approach of Self-inquiry, the "Who Am I?" Meditation from the living tradition of Sri Ramana Maharshi, is not well represented.Ramaji remedies the situation by providing a wealth of practical tips and methods based on Sri Ramana's original teachings. The highly effective approach that you will learn in this book was fine-tuned over several fruitful years. It is based on Ramaji's tireless efforts to help modern students and his considerable success with them around the world. The guidance and insights provided here are direct from Ramaji's own spiritual journey. His advice and teachings will be found to be backed by Sri Ramana Maharshi's own words. Ramaji presents from his firsthand experience only. If he has not experienced it himself, then he does not talk about it.The engaging question/answer format facilitates easy digestion of deep truths. Ramaji presents beginning, intermediate and advanced Who Am I? Meditation (Self-inquiry) for Western readers, eliminates student doubts, exposes life-changing secrets of the I-thought, reveals the true nature of the Heart on the right, and provides a precise proven path to Self-realization in this very lifetime. Those ready to work with Ramaji directly can reach him via his website Ramaji.org or meet him in person at the monthly San Diego satsang.Advaita or non-duality can be successfully practiced by any dedicated person. Though the outward circumstances and lifestyle of Western seekers appears to be radically different than that of monks, yogis, sadhus and other professional spiritual practitioners, in fact it makes no difference at all. This book shares the practical tips and insights that enable a strong Self-inquiry meditation practice under any and all circumstances. Everything is explained in vivid detail so that any highly motivated person can achieve Self-realization and full enlightenment in this very life.

“Rupert Spira is one of the great souls. Read his books, and be clarified.” —Coleman Barks, translator of Rumi, including Soul Fury A contemplative poem about the intimate, impersonal, infinite nature of being. In A Meditation on I Am, Rupert Spira contemplates the essential nature of our self before it has been conditioned or qualified by the content of experience. It is a poem, a prayer and a hymn of praise to the simple fact of being that is the source of the peace and happiness for which we long above all else. For seasoned spiritual seekers and newcomers alike, this meditative poem explores and celebrates the truth of what we essentially are: the awareness of being that shines in each of our minds as the knowledge “I am,” which is temporarily coloured by experience but is never modified, changed or harmed by it.

In recent times, the practice of mindfulness has been gaining a lot of momentum. Mindfulness is the practice of observing the breath, noticing the body sensations, and watching the mind. Through this book, you will learn a simple yet powerful method of not only watching the mind, but of moving beyond mindfulness into the no-mind state. This is done through the power of four words: WHO AM I NOW? Self Enquiry is an ancient practice for attaining Self realization. However, with the passage of time its finer nuances have gone missing and it has become one of the most misunderstood of practices. Presented in a profound yet simple Q/A format, this book presents Self Enquiry – with Understanding. Understanding is the crucial element that helps you to recognize the missing links and gain the knowledge of Self, which in turn facilitates in reaching your true self, easily and definitively. “Who am I?” is the question asked in Self Enquiry that will lead you to the experience of the Self. And “Who am I Now?” is a unique method that will help you stay in that experience, in and through your daily affairs. This will dismantle the daydream of who you believe yourself to be and enable you to get established in the experience of pure consciousness. Amazement and eternal bliss awaits you!

You have covered over your true Self with the false thief thought of "I am this physical body." That potent hypnosis is more than enough to steal from you your glorious birthright as the blessed supreme Self.In the process of waking up from the sleeping state, there is a gap between dreaming and waking where the pure conscious state, the eternal non-state of the supreme Self, emerges and provides support for this major transition. When you think about it, you are moving from one world to another. You are transitioning from the dream or astral universe to the the waking state or physical universe. This is a huge leap in vibrations and consciousness levels, so the Self itself emerges briefly in order to enable continuity during the transition.Being in the astral body while in the dream state, and then suddenly and without warning being conscious in the physical body waking state, it would be noticed that a major leap had occurred. However, unless you are looking for the Self in this gap, you are not likely to see it. This self-luminous Awareness is more subtle than dreams, although the practice of dream recall will support this practice of Self-recall in the morning. Anything that helps you insert the conscious waking state into the sleeping state may help.Although this Awareness is extremely subtle, in this special moment it comes forward. Therefore, this is the time when it is most easily perceived and grasped. The practice itself is very straightforward. If you cannot be aware of the entire waking up process itself, then immediately assert being consciously aware of your conscious awareness (waking state) the instant that you become aware of it.In other words, the VERY INSTANT that you recognize that you have become conscious and are transitioning into the waking state associated with the physical body, in that instant you choose to WAKE UP. What happens is that you then wake up WITHIN THE GAP. You deliberately become conscious within this gap.You relax awake into clear seeing and an opening appears that you did not see before. This opening becomes your entry point from which you can unravel the entire addiction mechanism. Likewise, you can enter as lucid clear knowing when you wake up in the morning by using the special effortless Morning Meditation. With practice, you will discover that you are not the body. In fact, you are the Light of the Awareness. The gap will get longer and longer. You will gain confidence that you are, indeed, the Self. Eventually, you will be able to stabilize in the Self and your perception of who you are and what the world is will be changed forever. You will know directly from within that you are the Self and that the world is the Self. You will know for sure that "I AM THAT."TABLE OF CONTENTSWHY ANOTHER BOOK ON SELF-INQUIRY MEDITATION?JOURNEY TO THE HEART OF TRUTH 12 SIMPLE STEPS ONE AT A TIMESTEP ONE: WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT YOUR MIND?STEP TWO: WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT YOUR BODY?STEP THREE: WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT "WHO AM I"?STEP FOUR: THE EFFORTLESS MORNING MEDITATION PRACTICEEASY "WINDOW OF OPPORTUNITY" MORNING MEDITATIONQ&A: PRACTICAL POINTERS ON THE EFFORTLESS MEDITATIONSTEP FIVE: THE SECRET OF THE MORNING MEDITATION PRACTICESTEP SIX: IS THE WAKING STATE BASED ON THE PHYSICAL BODY?STEP SEVEN: WHAT IS THE CONSCIOUS WAKING STATE?STEP EIGHT: WHO IS IT EXACTLY THAT CLAIMS THE BODY?STEP NINE: THE PRACTICAL TWO-STEP "WHO AM I?" What Now written by Yael Shy and has been published by Parallax Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-11-07 with Self-Help categories.

Buddhist teachings and meditation offer a roadmap to help college students and others in early adulthood incorporate mindfulness into their lives as a means of facing the myriad struggles unique to this stage of life. Early adulthood is filled with intense emotions and insecurity. What if you never fall in love? What if you can't find work you’re passionate about? You miss home. You miss close friends. You’re lost in the noise of how you think you should be living and worried about wasting what everyone says should be the best years of your life. What Now? shares mindfulness practices to help twentysomethings learn to identify and accept these feelings and respond—not react—to painful and powerful stimuli without pushing them away or getting lost in them. This is not about fixing oneself or being "better." Readers are encouraged to embrace themselves exactly as they are. You are already completely whole, completely loveable, completely worthy. What Now? shares practices that help us to wake up to this fact. This uniquely tumultuous developmental period is a time when many first live away from home and engage in all kinds of experimentation—with ideas, substances, relationships, and who we think we are and want to be in the world. Yael Shy shares her own story and offers basic meditation guides to beginning a practice. She explores the Buddhist framework for what causes suffering and explores ideas about interconnection and social justice as natural outgrowths of meditation practice.
