Diese empirische Studie erschließt inhaltlich mit der Unterrichtsplanung aus kompetenzorientierter Perspektive ein nahezu unerforschtes Feld. Jörg Weingarten untersucht, inwiefern angehende Lehrkräfte am Ende ihrer Ausbildungszeit Merkmale einer kompetenzorientierten Unterrichtsgestaltung in ihren geplanten Lernangeboten berücksichtigen. Dazu analysiert er systematisch schriftliche Unterrichtsplanungen aus den Fächern Mathematik, Deutsch, Politik und Musik hinsichtlich relevanter Facetten einer kompetenzorientierten Gestaltung von Lernangeboten. Grundlage hierfür bildet ein neu entwickeltes und empirisch validiertes Kategoriensystem zur Analyse und Beurteilung von Unterrichtsplanungen. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass gerade im Hinblick auf die Gestaltung kompetenzorientierter Stundendesigns noch ein Großteil des didaktisch-methodischen Repertoires ungenutzt bleibt. Die vorgestellten empirischen Befunde liefern erstmalig Einsichten in die Planungspraxen angehender Lehrkräfte und geben wertvolle Impulse für die Ausbildung und Professionalisierung von Lehrkräften. Jörg Weingarten promovierte als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter in der Arbeitsgruppe Bildungsforschung an der Universität Duisburg-Essen. Er ist heute als Referent für Gesellschaftswissenschaften im Arbeitsbereich Unterrichts- und Standardentwicklung am Landesinstitut für Schule (QUA-LiS NRW) in Soest tätig.

The ECML's Languages for social cohesion programme (2004-2007) involved approximately 4500 language professionals from Europe and beyond.
