Winnie-the-Pooh is a popular children's book in The Netherlands. It is also the most popular children's book in the world. This translation of this book into Dutch is by Nienke van Hichtum. Afrikaans is primarily the language of the "coloured people" of South Africa, people of mixed Dutch and African ancestry. It is said to be 90% to 95% Dutch. Dutch is spoken by 23 million people as a first language, including most of the population of the Netherlands and about sixty percent of Belgium, and by another 5 million as a second language. Winnie-the-Pooh is the most popular children's book in the Friesland Province in the North of the Netherlands. Frisian is spoken by nine-hundred thousand people in Friesland Province, Groningen province and De Marne municipality. There are also some speakers of Frisian in Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. Winnie-the-Pooh, also known as Pooh Bear and Pooh, is a fictional anthropomorphic teddy bear developed by English writer A. A. Milne along with English artist E. H. Shepard. The book Winnie-the-Pooh (1926) had been the very very first collection of stories about The character, followed by the home at Pooh Corner (1928). Here is the complete text of the novel with the followings annotations: *Biographical Information: Military career and early life Alan Alexander Milne came into this world in Kilburn, London, to John Vine Milne, who came into this world in Jamaica, and Sarah Marie Milne (nee Heginbotham), on eighteen January 1882. He were raised at Henley House School, 6/7 Mortimer Road (now Crescent), Kilburn, a little independent school run by his father.One of the teachers of his was H. G. Wells, who coached there in 1889 90.Milne attended Westminster School and Trinity College, Cambridge, where he learned on a mathematics scholarship, graduating with a B.A. in Mathematics in 1903.
