Nach den gut eingefuhrten Zurcher Unterrichtshilfen fur das 2.-4. Schuljahr erscheint mit Wir glauben in Vielfalt die Fortsetzung: Eine Arbeitshilfe fur Leitende der kirchlichen Angebote im 5.-7. Schuljahr (JuKi) und drei Begleitmaterialien fur die Kinder und Jugendlichen. Die kirchlichen Angebote sind in der JuKi-Praxis sehr vielfaltig: Unterricht, Jugendgottesdienste, Erlebnistage oder -wochenenden. Die Abteilung Padagogik und Animation der Zurcher Landeskirche hat deshalb eine Arbeitshilfe im Bausteinprinzip entwickelt: 41 Bausteine - 27 Lernbausteine und 14 Feierbausteine - liefern mit konkreten Unterrichts- bzw. Gottesdienstvorschlagen, zahlreichen Varianten und Erweiterungen neue Ideen fur die Gestaltung der kirchlichen Angebote, Hintergrundinformationen und Materialblatter. Die beigelegte DVD stellt alle Materialblatter zum Ausdrucken sowie Bild-, Film- und Audio-Material fur. Unterricht und Gottesdienst bereit. Jedes Themenfeld schliesst mit Ideenbausteinen ab, die weiterfuhrende Ideen prasentieren. The traditional focus on Religious Education at school can no longer be the only guiding principle for religious education research if this research is to do justice to the reality of religious education in general. The awareness of the meaning and scope of education outside of the school has clearly grown. However, systematic research on non-formal religious education still remains rare, especially on an international level. As the editors are quick to point out, monism is not a particular theory or even a unique school of thought. However, monistic intuitions or doctrines are grounded in many different ways of philosophizing. For instance, one may argue that there is ultimately only one thing, or one kind of thing, or that there is only one set of true beliefs, one truth, one type of action, one sort of meaning, one way of analyzing, explaining and understanding; or, alternatively, one may pursue the project of the unity of knowledge or even that of the unity of science. Taken in this broad sense, monism is often opposed to varieties of pluralism or numerous versions of dualism, since so much philosophical debate has focused on the question whether there are two different kinds of thing, mind, and malter, or only one. This volume aims to discuss some of these aspects historically and systematically. In doing so, it sheds light on larger issues of unity and diversity, integration and polarity, fusion and separation. Since pluralism and multiculturalism are clearly on the intellectual agenda, this is a welcome, much-needed contribution to concept clarification. The editors have wisely chosen to present issues related to monism as an ongoing aspect in the history of philosophy. There are sprightly contributions that arc noteworthy for literary grace as well as epistemological insight. Included are essays on monism in pre-Socratic philosophy. Democritus on the distinction between universals and particulars. What can Christians believe today, almost exactly five hundred years after the Reformation? This book provides an answer by focusing on the Apostles= Creed - in a way that is generally comprehensible, inspiring and stimulating. This interpretation of the Creed also represents an interpretation of the contemporary world and an engagement with predominant scientific worldviews and views of humanity. Ralf Frisch takes the view that the Christian faith represents a fascinating and reasonable alternative in the midst of today=s forgetfulness of God in Western culture. However, in order to express this faith convincingly, one needs to be prepared to think differently and see the world differently. If one can do this, then the encounter with the Creed can provide answers to the question of meaning that will turn existence in a disenchanted world into a metaphysical adventure once again.
